http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...095&ih=005&category=4696&ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1 Seller claims they are real. There are also alot of other Sideswipes on ebay. I know we saw a glympse of a prototype of the mold, but I didnt think it would be out this fast, if it is a KO. EDIT: Just noticed that they are not the usual US G1 boxes, they have a different logo that says GiGi or something, and the words are different.
yeah they are bizarre just like the jazz? they werent packed together like this so how does he have so many? Stay clear I say
Freccia.... these are Italian. And I think GiG is the company who made them. Don't think they are KO's... but they could be. That would be another thing to watch out for besides KO's.... foreign KO's.
Real Italian sideswipes have those crazy oversized shields on the ends of the missles. Or rather all the g1 bots with launchers did for their release.
No, they're Italian. Like the Jazzes, it's strange that they were found together rather than in an assortment, but the Jazzes' dried tape and the lack of differences from the originals on the Sideswipe and Jazz suggests these are indeed real. Edit--That said, it appears there WILL be knockoff Sideswipes in the future. Spencer posted the picture of the front of a knockoff Sideswipe test shot (same picture as the KO dino cassette).
They are genuine Italian "TrasFormer"'s. They are not K.O's. The Italian version came from GiG... the Mexican version came from IGA. http://www.geocities.com/futuristgroup/vitaly.html
I guess you're probably right. Sometimes in Europe when a store goes bankrupt they take everything and put it into storidge. Sometimes it takes years before someone opens the storidge and looks what's inside. I guess this guy just bought a few cases of Transformers from the 80ties for like 100 dollars a case in Italy and got extremly lucky. Jazz and Sideswipe aren't on the KO list. The Transformers that are: Swoop, Optimus, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sunstreaker, (posibly) Prowl, (Posibly) Snarl and (Posibly) Grimlock. Did i forget one??
reading everyone's posts, I still don't get how one seller could get so many of just one of the figures. It's not like they ever came in cases of just Sideswipes and this seller obviously didn't get all these from different sources so...something's gotta give...
As previously mentiond. If a store went bankrupt they could have lots of figures stored in boxes etc in larger quantities. And usually in Italy and Greece that's often the case where suddenly a storage supply of old figures are found. Also the popularity of italian TrasFormer's vs. american TransFormers is very much in favor to the american versions.
Wasn't a sideswipe prototype visible in the top-right corner of one of those pictures with the new cassette prototypes? These might not be KO's, but it just seems a little too convenient that a bunch of MISB sideswipes would pop up on ebay out of nowhere only a few days after those prototype pictures surfaced. EDIT: link to the picture I mentioned below http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=5649
These are legit, cases of skygarry jazz and sideswipe have appeard and I believe mirage will soon appear
More importantly, these are ALL IN SINGAPORE!!!! If they came from an Italian store, wouldn't they be, y'know, in ITALY? I find it suspicious that a seller could find THAT much a continent away from the market in such pristine condition.
Cyclonus was not a knockoff. He was a licensed 1990's Chinese release: http://www.allspark.com/content/view/1743/37/
