Howdy! I was considering grabbing some KO seekers from KOtoys since I'm starting to plan a Superion custom for my collection, and as any version of Starscream is far too pricey now to buy four of it seemed like the obvious choice.

I was going on to look at CHMS seekers, but came across these::

    https://kotoys.com/store/index.php?...id=397&zenid=876d0638c71fe53466d2611277ae5a9a

I was wondering what the quality of these are like, if anyone's bought one before? The low price is nice but how much quality is sacrificed?

    Thanks for the help!

Unless it says CHMS, don't waste your money on it. They're garbage.

At that price, I would say those plastics would be of pretty poor quality.

CHSM are good. V1 sucks, but V2's are nice.
I bought KO Thundercracker and Skywarp and forgot about the two versions. I accidently purchased V1 and kind of hate them. Their very loose and the weapons fall off easily.
Purchased Sunstorm which is CHSM V2, and he's awesome! Practically flawless!

Well apart from Abrogate, everyone seems to have read the first post! ;)

Thanks guys, I won't waste the cash. I was curious as to the quality of the plastic and construction and if it's that bad I'd rather spend the extra. What would you say the quality of the plastic is like compared to, say, universe Acid Storm?

I really need them to be good enough quality to stand up to some modfication and repainting, which is why I'm going with KOs of Starscream.

Another query; is there anywhere else to purchase CHMS other than KOtoys? I'd rather not have to deal with that guy after everything I've read, I'd make him cry :p

The non-CHMS ones aren't terrible...if you don't mind really loose joints and arm cannons. I have some of both though, and can say that the CHMS are def worth the money

Your first post didn't say anything like "please don't link to previously made threads on this subject." And my personal thoughts on the quality of the molds were already done in that thread, you can flip through and read them if you'd like.

I have the seekers about which you actually asked (not the CHMS ones). They are obviously KOs, no one would mistake them for the real thing. They are not that bad though. Expect to have at least one wing broken in the package when you receive it, but it can be fixed.

I have the Orange Sunstorm. It's good quality... for a KO. The white paint is a little thin and his hands are loose. It's not bad for display. I might get rid of it though. Just something about it doesn't feel right. But I'm just anal that way.

On my 1st issue ghost SS, the arms are a little floppy, one leg is loose and one isn't, and the cannons do stay in the arms if you just have it displayed. HOwever, on my 1st issue T/C, the cannons will NOT stay in the arm posts by themselves, and the legs are both quite loose. However, if you're going to use the hands to hold the guns or if you're going to display in jet mode, both figures are really very acceptable.

I did indeed, though I read that before when CHMS first came out. Honestly I thought you were being patronising and essentially saying "there's already a thread for this". Sorry, it's been a long day...

I think I might have to look into acquiring some classics Starscreams. I'm intending to use these for a custom I intend to handle semi-regularly so quality is an issue. The guns won't be use at all most likely (Aerialbots use much smaller guns!), but like Wyvern I'm a little anal about it. I own no KOs for my main collection, because just touching them I can tell the difference.

Hell, RTS Windcharger feels like inferior plastic to me.
Thanks everyone for the advice and opinions, you've helped me an informed decision :)

Yeah, if you intend to use them for a custom of the Aerialbots then you should go with official product. Especially if you plan on having them combine.
