I got these two KO's a while ago and I was lucky enough to be able to get a free reprolabels set for these two. I think the originals are too expensive so I decided I could replicate the colors myself.

I used Tamiya X-2 white, X-6 Orange and X-14 Sky blue for Minerva. I airbrushed the torso white and the face orange. Sealed it with some coats of Future. I also had a couple of small pistols repro'd as the pistols that came with the KO don't have the bend in the handles.

For Go Shooter I went with Tamiya X-14 Sky blue and redid the blue parts. I had to sand some rubbing pieces on him. Very little X-8 Lemon yelow for the face of the headmaster. For the windows I started with a layer of X-1 Black and airbrushed a layer of X-4 blue over it.

Can you believe it, I LOST the face part for the headmaster... I think I accidentally threw it out with the trash... My yellowed Siren head is the placeholder for now. I'll problably cast the face in resin to complete the replica.

Hey, you said you had the small guns for Minerva repro'd. Where to? I'd love to get a set of them for my Minerva KO and getting the real thing would cost more than it's worth.

Personally, I really don't see what makes the originals worth a thousands. Especially Minerva just looks like an incredibly mediocre TF, even in 1988.

So yeah, painting a KO sounds like the wiser choice to me.

    Nice repaints.

I'd also like to know where you got them.

I got the KO's back when they were first introduced (12-2011?) at highendtfs.com I haven't seen one for sale in a while. The reprolabels were a free gift for joining the Reprolabels forum and sending in a picture of you holding the KO's.

Thanks for the kind words. The windows on the cars and Minerva's face were a bitch to tape off and airbrush. Learned some lessons there. They look really cool in my poor-mans Masterforce Display.

Those came out really really great..well done! nice to see them completed. For anyone still looking for the set, this guy I've worked with was able to find a new source for them direct..he has them for sale thru Ioffer..the guys good and reliable, in my opinion, I've done numerous deals with him..so, if you wanted them..he has them..plus even the boxes I originally made for them as well..
