If the MFT ones are smaller then it gives both sets some merit.

 

Yes MFT are 9.5 cm, Papas 10.5

 

Pre-ordered these big boys for my TFP Cons! I love my original PE set.

Buyers note that Papa Toys version looks to have changes that MFT's does not, such as the different feet.

The originals look really fun with Perfect Effect's Targetmaster like versions of Rumble & Co.
They are also fun to have riding a beast mode too.

I wonder if the Birds and Guns will get over-sized too ?

 

This requires the release of MF-18! They still have not upsized Soundwave. All these other G1 knobs they've done, and they haven't upsized one of the key Cons. Makes me hangry.

 

Why is everyone talking about Legends scale? These guys are Deluxe sized. They're not tiny characters. Hell, even Minibots are too small at the Legend size right now.

 

It is down for me at least to what I want to use them with - I'm strongly leaning to getting the 10.5cm size 1st
They'd still be smaller than say (Warpath) and quite a bit smaller than Megatron but not distractingly tiny - and yet still big enough to consider them as something to put with classics too. Where as the 9.5cm size might be a tad to small for MFT for me - they are about right for the regular Hasbro size for me - so ironically i'd buy MFT to use with official and the new manufacturer gift set to go beter with MFT.

Much as I prefer Wei Jiang's War God to the other Hulkie sizes (though the Yellow one has some merit too - i'm absolutely going to get that too and also use that with official stuff too or perhaps even with Legions - once they make one in green too)

I think the new feet might sell me on the bigger ones.

 

Pretty much people tend to use scale and size interchangeably, no point fighting against it, it's like pissing against the wind.

Yes the PapaToys version is Deluxe SCALE, about the size of Hasbro Legends CLASS toys.
The MFT Version is more in Legends+(MFT/HotSoldiers) SCALE

 

What? I'm not arguing about the distinction of scale/size. Deluxe scale isn't the same size of Legends. Deluxe is Triggerhappy, Sideswipe, ect. Legends is Frenzy, Wheelie, ect. The PapaToys ones fall under than second category which is too small.

 

They're adorable- but will they work in an MP display?
