I'm about to pull the trigger, so what's the verdict on these ko's?

Worse than PE?
No different than PE?
Better than PE?

 

Can't say compared to the original, but my copy is well on par with any other 3rd Party figure I've bought this year, save Phoenix. The quality of the material used oa excellent, and the paint work is gorgeous.

The only issue I had was the feet being a bit loose. It seems to be a common issue, but is easily fixed.

 

Better than PE (at least so far based on lack of complaints).

I've got the original PE Leonidas and while he is a very cool looking figure, I am VERY VERY careful while handling him. He's almost like those floppy KO Revoltech figures where if you flex the joint too much, you can feel it giving a little bit and on the verge of breaking. Keep in mind I am talking about the ORIGINAL PE Leonidas. The weighting is off or something with diecast in wierd places that makes him a little bit top heavy and/or not able to pose without it eventually slouching down b/c of the weight.

The KO on the other hand, I haven't really heard any complaints.

I like the original well enough and do feel is a very cool looking figure. I'm not sure if the transformation is really mind-blowing or anything as he just kind of gets into doggy style position and then tucks his head in - but overall definitely worth picking up. Because I don't really have other bots to pose them with, I'm going for the tri-fecta of all 3 KO color variants.

I have one white KO left MISB that I'm debating on cracking or not. Probably just going to stick with the original on that one since I already have it.

 

Hard to say, which is better both have there issues from what I read the PE version has loose joints can be fixed by coating the loose joints. And the KO has issues with standing up loose feet but can be fixed as well. Personally they both are good but it just comes down to price thats the only major difference Im going with the PE version as I like the re-release looks spot on to the BW neo.

But here is a review on the KO version.

 

Anyone have issues with the ko holding the weapons firmly?

Thanks, maybe it's just mine. I haven't had more than a few minutes dealing with him yet, so I will see if i was placing them in incorrectly.

 

My purple version is on it's way! Too bad PE didn't really milk the mold more, the design looks fantastic. NT's version of that Eva custom looks even better to me.

And I hope NT does other crazy schemes. CodeXCDM did some fantastic Photoshops. I would so buy the shit out of a Lion-o repaint!

Looks like EVA one is available. That said, it looks like in NA TF-direct is the best deal at 90 bucks. Anyone seen a better price than 90 out there?

 

Is the white version available anywhere besides TF-Direct? I'm super hesitant to use them, but maybe just because I never have before.

 

White version is out but is selling out quickly. I'm out of them but u can find them on ebay and elsewhere. If you want one.. I'd jump on it fast.

The black Nemesis version is supposed to be out but for whatever reason neoarts hasn't been making them widespread available. I haven't received any yet.

The eva one is now out and available.

I've never had a problem with TF-Direct before. They've even got me replacement parts for a figure that was damaged during shipping.

That said, I ordered this and Gunfighter II from them. They shipped right away, and tracking updated until it left Guangzhou. That was three weeks ago. Stuff I've ordered from China after either arrived already or cleared customs and should come next week, but my order with TF-Direct seems to have vanished.

 

He will go with that Optimal Optimus - or Primal Prime 3rd party toy and any thing else based on that Book that gets made.
he also looks nice with warden.

 

if you have the cash , gt's upcoming releases maybe ? given that they are from the same design source.. Right now he'll sorta stand well with the other lio convoy releases.

 

He'll be next to my TransArt Primal Prime once it arrives. And they'll both be staying on the MP shelf.
