Actually, the way they're doing this OS thing, you might just be able to have a close enough version of both. The bot modes being sized correctly relative to each is already being covered by everyone doing MPs. But these oversized figures are actually making correct alt scaling a reality. The MP cars are all around 1:28th - 1:30th scale. MPP-10 is 1:29th IIRC. If this OS Ironhide ends up being somewhere in that 1:28th-1:30th realm, I think the only one that ends up being way out of whack is Bumblebee (I'm not even gonna touch the ridiculous alts like guns or tape players).

So yeah, it's quite conceivable that you could have collections with both alt and bot modes sized correctly.

Yes, but I'd also like to do the front bumper mod. And I was entirely planning to do it all, as I'd said. But if they do this for me at a decent price, I'm in.

This looks pretty good. Fingers crossed they do a normal MP size one.
Only thing is (and it's kind of a weird thing to be saying  ) his butt looks kind of skinny and skeletal without the ass tyres?

 

It works for Optimus whose official figure is indeed too small in altmode compared to the cars (although pretty close to Bumblebee), but I think Ironhide/Ratchet are already within the 1:28-1:30 range. Those vanettes are small. At the back of the box is the real life size (in mm) and comparing that to a Datsun, makes I/R seem the rightish size in altmode.

Botmode, that's a completely different story...

 

$35 plus $6 shipping anyone? This isn't the oversized one either, but it's just a regular ko of mp-27. I thought i'd like to let everyone know.

Make it the same size as MP-27 and consider it sold!!
