It isn't nearly that bad when you handle the bot. The tanks are the worst part of it.

 

I haven't paid much attention to the Studio Series line at all.


Now all of these OS KOs are starting to pop up and I find myself trying to pay more attention to the molds all of the sudden.  

 

I've been buying them all like a fool. Now I need to dump all my legits as I don't need the same mold in multiple sizes.

 

I saw a Voyager Brawl and Megs today and passed on both just because I knew they had OS KOs coming...

Taobao sellers are indicating it will be about $36 USD before shipping and Alipay credit card fees. Probably about $46 shipped when it's all said and done. I'm curious to see what Chinese Ebay sellers will have it for.

 

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Optimus was said to be 28' and Msgatron about 32'. Bumblebee is 16' and the Twins were 15'.

 

Not in the pre-release and production period they were not - all those shorter sizes were retro fitted on latter.
Bay made statements about the reason Optimus wasn't an over cab truck was to give him enough mass to be more than 40 foot tall and as big (or nearly so) as Megatron - you can see that they are bigger pretty clearly on screen especially Grindor who is enormous.

You can see how small Jazz is too if Optimus was that small he'd only be double Jazz and he's taller than that.

I guess you could get a Measuring tape out and measure the truck door on his chest and get the exact actual onscreen height from that.
But back in the day all the talk was that everyone was TALLER (not smaller than G1 which some of those sizes are).

P.s.

Note how tall Bee is when he's knocking the Twins' heads together - he's much bigger than they are.

 

I thought the backpack on SS Prime was horrible when I first saw it but once on hand and after finding out you can fold it at an angle (straight flat in the back is pretty much the worst looking it can be, even if it's the "official" config) it's way better and doesn't bother me anymore. Folded like that he's the Movie Prime with the less amount of backpack mass behind the masterpiece one.

 

I ain't spending $65-72 on this. The BMB MPM OS will be about $85.

Wei Jiang has lost their minds. I cancelled my Blackout preorder for the same reasons.



And people need to quit crying "backpack". That thing angles in.

I still dont fully understand their "expansion" plans. I should be able to order this for a fair price from a respectable seller.

Helps me realize that I dont even need this, in the end.
