I never had a problem until Trailerbreaker's exploded. Took me an hour to find the pieces.

 

Well I finally decided to get this sucker. Has no real place in my collections but I'm a Megatron fan and several people have said this one is possibly the best.

Mine came in with a piece broken off right out of the box. I noticed it in the package under his leg right when i took him out, and soon afterward I found that it is the reason one of his legs wants to tilt to the side at the knee...

I contacted the seller, but I don't even know if i want a replacement. This part looks a bit easy to break, and knowing that it can, and did, I am now a little discouraged because there are other small thin plastic parts like that, which might also break easily.
I mean... The only things keeping this big heavy bot stable at the knees is 2 small thin plastic parts pegged in inside each knee? Is breakage there a common issue? Are any other breaks common?




EDIT: Seller is sending me anew leg for him, so that's awesome. I'm hoping this break is a very rare thing.

 

Would anyone who has this also have the toyhouse factory soundwave? I have this megatron but ordered the thf soundwave without seeing a size comparison. Could someone snap a pic to show us if possible  

 

I had the same issue when I received mine. Never transformed it, and right out of the box a small tab broke on that inside leg panel. It is not broken completely like yours, but that same piece (the panel) does not tab in perfectly anymore. I've never transformed the figure (I have never cared about Megatrons alt mode). So yes, I'm going to guess we're not the only ones that have had issues with that piece breaking.

Well after getting a replacement leg I really like the figure for the price.
A couple of reviews gave me the impression he was really easy to transform, which considering how good he looks in both modes was a huge draw factor for me. I personally didn't find him easy or fun to transform though.

 

I've heard way to many concerns about this fella breaking - which is a real shame. I do want one - but it seems like a serious risk to buy one and either have it broken from new or break after a bit of posing.

Any one got any feelings on if there is anyway to prevent breaks during normal handling or if I buy this is it just to sit on a shelf and never touch ?

 

Must be with newer runs. Mines solid.

I head breakages on them as soon as they came out - so I was wondering did they fix the issue - or is it just dumb luck if it breaks or not ?

I bought MegaMaster via TF Express upon release a year and a half ago and one a couple of weeks ago via TaoBao (Superbuy) so I have one in gun mode.

How can I get/backorder one for my MegaMaster I bought in the UK via TF Express?!
NO i am not using the only logo chestpiece, I have two mega's and I want two logo chestpieces!

Anybody managed to get a loose logo chestpiece? If so how and if not what can I do?

Thanks for the info. At this point only the 2nd/later runs are what's being sold so the chest-plate will be included with those with no worries.

 

Does the newer one have the insignia that fits snug? I had to use sticky-tak on mine.
