Yup, seems as though the versions made available at TFcon would need modding in order to slide into the OS CW hot spot mold.

I compared each of the jets I picked up, but the pics below are 2 of the 4 and contrasted with an OS'd KO of CW rook.

Also contrasted the slots/wedges with the KOncept arts chief fire in side-by-side shots.

And since I had em out, decided to show another comparison shot, but including the regular sized CW silverbolt, an initial OS aerialbot and regular sized KO skittles aerialbot

As you can see, these OS KOs are taller than them all.

So bloody gorgeous. Just what we needed.

Interesting, so probably the WJ guys can lock onto Silverbolt here no problem (maybe a little loose?), but the jets will be a tight-squeeze (or maybe need some shaving) to work with Hotspot. This plus the entirely different Hand/Foot ports (and by extension, fist/weapon mount ports, presumably) definitely makes it seem that the cross-compatibility was a happy-accident and not a design-goal with these.

I'm still very much OK with all of that. Cannot wait to get hands on this set!

Not possible yet. Until Silverbolt is released, or someone puts them side-by-side at one of these shows.

Yeah, once silverbolt comes out, and I see how the figures can be scrambled, I think I'll end up shaving two opposing sides of the aerialbot combiner slots to widen them up and keep the other two slots narrow. Then mark them in some way so I know how I'd have to rotate them to slide them into the combiner port for either the hotspot mold or the silverbolt mold. That way, it should be a snug fit for either scenario.

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that other then it possibly gives them a couple of remould options for other bots.....? Eh, I will be down at least for a Motormaster and maybe a Wild rider and Breakdown. I would just like a better CW MM and if they do the leg bots better I'll snatch them up too to replace the not so sturdy CW ones.

I bought the four that were available from Spence at TFCon this weekend. I have to say that of all of my purchases, these are close to being my favorites. The only share some similarities to the Combiner wars figure (mainly the combiner port). But pretty much everything else has bee redesigned from the ground up.

One of the screws in the wing section of my Skydive was overtorqued in the factory, and sheared as soon as I rotated it, but Spence replaced it the next day at the show. I guess they are still working out the tolerancing on these figures.

It should be around CW Devastator size.

So did these loose limbs sell out at TFcon? Were there ant spares that might be sold online?

I suppose the elephant in the room is, will these be Chinese Market High End KOs a la WeiJiang and Machine Boy or will they be distributed more 3P export market style?

I'm hoping the former so we can just go through normal channels...

In any event I just want someone to take my monies.

I know he's not as cartoon accurate as the 4 limbs, but I wonder how good Henkei Silverbolt would look with these guys.

I'd wager they'd look good. CW Silverbolt has a lot of Universe/Henkei design DNA in him, and the Leader-to-Limb size ratio might be more cartoon accurate.

Skydive's robot mode "left side" wing? I think there is an assembly error on this fellow, we all have had issues with him.

I'm all for them doing the Stunticons since WJ has only done two and there's been no word at all on an OS Motor Master.
