    @Jdk504

I finally got my displays in. I managed to break one of the claws but that was somewhat inflicted because I got frustrated with it not holding so I over tightened the screw, even loosened it before it broke but I suspect I had already stressed it prior.

I haven't done anything with MP36 yet but they seem like they'll will work with some care of course.

Here's what I did so far with them using two packets because you can't do much with one.

It occurred to me the other day that Megatron could be considered the 1st Target Master.

If we think about how Target Master's were Transformers with guns, rifles, and other energy projectile weapons that transformed into robots... well that's exactly what Megatron is.

Further more, it seemed that he was exclusively Starscream's and Soundwave's Target Master.

Empirical evidence below brought to you by THF Dynastron and Sonicwave, and KBB Starburst

In some respects, it could be argued that Shockwave was also a Target Master for Bruticus.

Anyhoo... just some food for thought... or maybe more appropriately, energon for metaphysical analysis.

Can anyone provide the box dimensions of the KO Megs? The post office is claiming I underdeclared the shipping for the KO I just sold and is claiming shipping should have been $45.

Recently got Magten, and had some time to mess with him and do my usual blackening of the cannon, hands, and hips. I also painted over those cartoon symbols and applied reprolabels, and painted the toy face silver.

Overall, I would say the quality of the mold and QC is on par with the TT MP-36, so below THF and IT. All the joints had that squeaky sound when moving, some joints were super tight (elbows and shoulders), while others were floppy (right hip and ab crunch). The paint work is ok, some rough spots and dust here and there. Transformation to gun mode was fine, similar to THF, but the panel fit was a bit worse that THF (again, on par with TT).

Here are some comparison shots with THF to show the paint difference. I also added a couple of gun mode shots from the car when I first opened him up, since I do not plan on transforming him again.

I wish IT would do another KO MP36 with Magten colors.

I also received mine from shxfg_bo7766_0, with the same results - box and clamshell were completely crushed, but the figure and accessories appeared to be unharmed.

My question to members on this thread - anybody not interested in keeping their box and clamshell? Mine really is unsalvageable....... :(

I've noticed that youtube reviewers and some members here got their THF-03 Megatrons with problematic left foot. I wonder how widespread that issue with THF Megatron is and how many people on this forum have a problem-free THF Megatron.

Wow - some nice prices on the KO megatron's on AE. Get em while the getting is good!

I'm surprised that we haven't see more different color versions released yet. There are so many companies making KO versions of this guy, it's amazing. I'm no expert at manufacturing but I'd think that the parts count for MP36 is pretty high and as a result, it would be harder to KO and manufacture on a company by company basis, and so the fact that there are so many different companies churning out their versions is surprising to me. Maybe it's just one company making them all and then selling them off to different companies to modify? Unlikely I guess...

    Holy feck!
This is confusing as anything could be...
Is there an English guide to the different releases or - better yet - a clear chart?

For example, a common tell that a MP36 is a KO are these "notches" on the biceps (see attached photo). There's no rational reason for a KO maker to mark the arms like this.

There is however a common practice in manufacturing to slash or mark a unit if it fails some QC check. This is one of the reasons I believe the unbranded KO are actually factory seconds. If you look in the other Masterpiece threads (Hot Rod, Barricade in particular) people are speculating their KOs are actually factory B-stock.
