For soundwave himself, is the THF version that much better than the KO? I don't care about the tapes as i already have KO ones.

If you insist! Some close-ups so you can see the paint and whatnot...

Edit: added better picture of Laserbeak. Also noticed some paint wear on the silver where you can see the red coming through. Only transformed him one from alt to bot.

Damn b%#*$)ds (from every company KO, Official,3rd party) should start putting the brand and code of the colours they used in the box. They are forcing us to fix their mess ups they might as well as help a bit....

Got one on the way. £45 for the one with just Laserbeak. Already have the other cassettes, though.
Is there any difference between this and the six tape version (other than, y'know, the obvious)?

You know factories don't just go down to hobby craft and get little pots of paint like you would yea ? their paint won't just be off the shelf paint codes....

Got my THF in. Soundwave himself is very good. The minions lack the finishing and the shine of the original.
But I am happy to retire my original MP13 and his original minions to the store and use THF instead for my photoshoots.

And whats that supposed to mean? You know everything is codified and with a couple keystrokes and a few tidbits of info you can get it yea? I can find pretty much every industrial paint in existance with a little search I doubt that this is a different case. Not the least to say you missed the whole point I was trying to raise.

Color codes would be very helpful. The only issue what manufacturer would the codes be compatible with? There would need to be some sort of universal color code list.
For example univeral code AA99988-022 would be linked to Tamiyami's light red TM0811 or Testors ligt red TES445 (for example....I'm making the numbers up of course).

There is, the problem is which is the brand/type they use. And ofc I doubt it, it is a common store paint (but for me thats not a problem :p  )

Not sure if this is used in toy manufacturing, but Pantone is a widely accepted standard in the world of print

    Got my THF Soundwave.
Scratches on visor. On Rumble's left foot, chrome was partially erased. Some paint on back. First transformation of Ratbat.

@TCracker awesome pics dude! That last one is epic! Can I use it?

So far, for those that ordered the Takara KO vs. THF versions, I haven't really heard any big complaints... Everyone seems to be pretty happy with the KO version serving the niche of those who don't care for the Casettes and the THF version being total bang for the buck... Like.. Get all the Casettes?

    Yes please!

You too can build an army of soundwaves... And really.. Who wouldn't want an army of obsolete Casettes players! Resistance is futile...

    Cost and order info here....
