The thing is if you're looking to get a Takara box set you're most likely going to spend at least double that. In my opinion if you can get one that's just about the same quality as the original for $300 - $400 dollars I would be jump on that.

 

I got the same set off eBay too. Totally forgot about them until I saw your post.

I got my Liokaiser boxset MIB for like $600 a few years ago. It requires patience and due diligence on keeping on top of eBay, boards, etc, but it's definitely doable.

 

I was just trying to remember how much I sold it for.

After a couple of years I finally managed to make a reproduction head for my other set and also for my Rescue force set. They look so good together.

Never had a full KO set, but the Gaihawk and Leozack I have are both identical to the originals in terms of quality. And Gaihawk has the great Union flag stickers.  

 

I used to have the "TESTRON" set, before acquiring the majority of a genuine Liokaiser over time. The Testron version had a bit 'softer' edges and detail, as one might expect from a KO, but it felt like good quality aside from the breast force partners, which broke or fell apart on me. (possibly due to age degradation of some kind.)

My Liokaiser consists of breast force arms, victory leozack, drillhorn and kill bison with the rescue force jaguar. I'm looking for ko or victory jaguar.

The Taiwan ko's breast partners are looser then the none ko
