What's going on guys. While on Ebay I discovered a seller selling KO cassettes. Has anyone heard of these? Doing some searching led me to a site called Toy Valley. It showed remake cassettes as well as a Remake Swoop. My questions to you guys is, have you heard of them and are the KOs any good?

    Here's a link to what I'm talking about: http://toyvalley.150m.com/

From what I've read, these KOs seem to be expensive but very well thought of in terms of quality. Apparently, they're pretty much the same quality as the originals in fact.

I got the new KO Optimus Prime. While the quality is quite good for a KO, it's not quite as good as the official version. For one thing, the head pops off. And the rubber on the tires isn't that great, causing him to roll awkwardly. I haven't personally experienced any of the other new KOs though. Anyway, it's still a good option if you can't afford the vintage ones.

I think we just killed the site's bandwidth allotment. I can't see diddly.

The KO Cassettes are awesome and for me they are just as good as the originals - think of them as 'unofficial re-issues.' Quality is just as good IMO...

I just picked up Ratbat and Rumble from A3U, I am impressed with Rumble because they made him with metal feet and metal shoulder joints. Unlike the first wave of KO cassettes that came out which were plastic. Ratbat's feet are loose as a goose, but heck I am still happy with my purchase.

Also the G1 KO Swoop was at A3U, Spencer ordered several to sell in the store. Unfortunately there are some issues:

    1) Swoop has no face (WTF how can you forget to put his damn face on?)

    2) It looks like he came with a Grimlock sword (G1 KO Grimlock in the works?)

    3) Missiles do not fit in the launcher

    4) Paint chips on the chest

    5) Gaps on the back of Swoops legs.

I hope A3U gets more of these in. You really can't tell the difference between the G1 and the KO. Though the chest corners are much sharper than the original which is really no biggie.

Well, in the box it's very hard to tell. out of the box it's really obvious though. its a shame it's so poorly done.

I'm wondering what Spencer is going to do with all of them now, he ordered several I guess and he must be pissed. I wish I had a chance to talk with him today while I was in the store but I was in rush with today being Valentines and all.

Hm, I'd be willing to grab one just for the hell of it~ Been watching for a Swoop and always missing them, if he isn't thrilled with 'em I could take one off his hands~

The same guy sells here in New Zealand on our local trading site.. TRADEME.CO.NZ.

He sold me a MP-02 Magnus and assured me it was MISB but when I got him there was obviously 2 sets of tape one which had been cut and another to cover up the mess... He told me it must have been TAKARA that had opened it to do random check's on all toys before they left the distributers... Ha yeah right...

In all fairlness to him all my boxed classics figures have been double taped, including a Jetfire from TRU.

Has anyone else used that site?

This is actually very common on Takara products. almost everything I've gotten from Takara in the past few years has been like this, no matter what store I order it from.

I've never heard that before. The majority of my collection is Takara and I've never gotten one double taped. Crazy. Didn't know it happened from the factory.

I think it's part of the QC process; they take a sample of sealed toys from the production line and open them for inspection purposes. I've seen a double taped Predaking giftset come straight out of a sealed case. It's nothing new either, Kenner did it quite often back in the day.
