We definitely need a straight up 1:1 KO at lower cost with no tail area gaps unlike the 2nd run version from Dx9. I'm glad they're doing it. I just hope the finalized KO options have glossy paint like DX9. Once that is done then I wouldn't mind seeing an upscaled, seeker-sized KO.
I've pre ordered PocketToys, so I'll do PT v DX9 as soon as @ShowZStore starts shipping them Still not sure about buying AoD. Budgets tight-ish.
Someone in a KO Facebook group was saying Art of Duplicates was Unique Toy's KO arm and implying was a cheap way for DX9 to make money on the mould. First I heard of it
Surfing Taobao it looks like Pocket Toys have released theirs with a few people posting open pack shots. Too hard to tell if it's improved, better finish from DX9 though. AOD version is still in pre order stage.
Thanks. I found the link for USA customers as well: Transformers Pocket Toys PT RICHTHOFEN Glider In Box KO DX9 Richthofen in stock | eBay Another legit seller has PT version in stock: Transformers Autobots PT-M01 Powerglide actions figure kids toys in stock- | eBay Here is the full listing set on Ebay as of now. Pocket Toys PT RICHTHOFEN | eBay
Here you go, some more as somr buyers posted feedback comments last night. Not sure about the cockpit window not being painted black though. I think the sample AOD shots show smoke plastic for the cockpit. AOD promo shot, unless this is DX9's version being passed off as theirs. Can't tell as different transformation but AOD tailfins have silver paint application
I'm really looking forward to @Bots and Bits PT vs Dx9 comparison/review video. PT version from Showz or Ebay is about $34 shipped. For the cost of one DX9 version you can get 2 PT versions ans still have some $ left over. Nice to see that AoD has silver paint app on the tailfins. Does PT not have the silver paint on the tailfins?
I can't tell because there's no equivalent angle in Alt mode for PT and not transformed the same way either. Here's a DX9 pic, has silver and smoke plastic cockpit
What I'm seeing with these KOs isn't really impressing me. The PT version has pretty dull looking paint compared to DX9, and the other one has something weird going on with the yellowish hands and other sections of the arms and legs. I'll wait to hear some reviews before putting any money on either.
Is the Pocket Toys one the same size as AoD and DX9? The pics make it look smaller, so was just wondering...
