I don't believe there is any lead in those KOs. I have some myself and have never actually gotten sick or anything.

Did you put them in your mouth?

A big part of the concern over lead paint is kids putting toys in their mouths.

you'd be dead...your skin can absorb a lot of it as well. Most of the ko's have lead based paint to my understanding. I mean they are knock offs made by copyright thieves, not egzactly up standing citizens, coupled with them coming from third world countries that still use this paint cause its cheap and works? Yeah I'm gonna pass. Especially as a customizer, you take a dremel to one and get it heated up or dust flying around? You better have some serious respirator gear and ventilation going.

Unicorn blood is a lot like Bigfoot's tears.

I have know Idea about lead content in knockoffs. I usually stick with the real deal or an Encore release. If you are buying the knockoff from the dollar store or something shouldn't it be under US toy restrictions?

Edit: I know NOTHING about this kind of stuff. I just assumed.

it is the high quality KO devestator from KOToys.com

he did have the one from biglots, but it was horrible and would even stay together so i gave it away.

Let's be honest, the real Devastator doesn't stay together. I can't even pick up my G2 Devastator.

Mine must suck. I got it on Ebay a while ago. It's actually a mix and matcher, 2 G1, 2 yellow G2 and 2 orange G2. It was such a fun (and by fun I mean ugly) color combination that I bought it, because that's how I roll. And all my G1 Constructicons I had as a kid were long gone. So now I have this floppy, mix and match Devastator. But they're not KO's.

i even had a KO devastator when i was little. i remember my dad bought me a devastator set at the swapmeet.

it was multicolored. red, orange and yellow i think. i have a picture of it somewhere, posed with my voltron i think. anyway, those are both long gone now.

im pretty sure this was at the same time as the green/purple versions were still available at the stores.

The only KO I remember having as a kid was a KO of the Twin Twist/Topspin mold, 2 of it actually. It showed up in my grade school's gift shop thing for Christmas.

My brother in law had a KO Defensor when he was a kid. We only figured out that it was a KO recently because he was describing the colors to me and it totally didn't match the legit Defensor.

Take it to a chemistry lab and get it tested. Or wait for your child to be old enough not to want to eat it.

Nobody knows and it's all conjecture

I'd say it's more of a possibility in older KOs, but I'm not an expert. No one here is.
