Just wanted to know how it stands up to the original.

    IE:

    - Is it thin & "Papery" or is it par with the original G1 boxes?
    - Is the artwork high-rez or does it look like a cheap pixelated scan & print job?

I'd like to get one to display my constructicons in but don't want to spend that much if it's not worth it.

I have one ordered. Word is that they are really stepping up the box quality, hence the delay on Mirage. I expect it to be even closer to the originals that the last few like Soundwave. Slight variations in the Font were about the only difference. That is supposed to be corrected now.

What else is new. They probably won't get it for another 6 months after everyone else. :lol

I think the original is muuuch wider. The foam tray, IIRC, was one single piece able to hold all the weapons and gestalt accessories. Someone please verify this. Where do you put all the stuff in this? Bag it and put it in an empty cavity on the right? There clearly is empty space or something where the Devastator full body art is. I have no idea what A3U price is on this, but this looks to be an overpriced(though pretty looking) "carnival" item, on par with all those minibot and WST boxes you see. PASS

No true, I speak to a person who knows who makes these personally, he says the devastator box is spot on with the original, better than the knock off soundwave box. Mirage's box is supposed to be Identical to the original.

    That's a good bit of news. :)

So far, I've only heard good things about the SW box.

If the thing is identical in box and tray width, then I will not condemn it. But the picture of the one on ebay and at A3U just looks wrong.

My bad. The original was just a single tray. Now this is trivial, and most likely incorrect, but check out this original on ebay and compare it to the KO reproduction auction linked earlier in the thread. Maybe it's just the angle at which the repro foam picture was taken, but dosen't the originals foam look taller.

    Here's a compilation shot I did,

At least the KOs will be easy enough to spot, just look for the gray areas next to the Devastator boxart.

Also, there seems to be some small writing on the left side that's not on the KO box.

The overall color seems lighter too, but that could just be the camera.

As far as the foam, I think it's just the angle that the pic was taken... but we won't really know until someone get's one.

Ah. Awesome. Not quite as easy to spot instantly as the Prime box, but easy enough. I don't begrudge those that make/want these, but I want an original, and once these get disseminated, there'll be no shortage of fucktards trying to pass them off as originals and pricing accordingly.

I just want to note that the linked original is an Italian version box.

I dunno where I've been that I haven't heard of these but they look fantastic. I'm very tempted to get one to store my childhood Devestator. My only problem there would be buying another set of Constructicons to display.
