That's not the mold's fault so much as it is the plastic's. And no, these are not really worth $80-$90 for the set. Now, if you could find Classics Seeker knockoffs cheap at Big! Lots or Rite Ade that'd be great. For instance, I think I will buy those KOnstructicons I saw at BL. Spend $8 on Mixmaster's gun, or spend $8 to get a complete set of reasonable-quality bootlegs who've all got all their weapons? I'll take the knockoffs thank you very much.

Can someone explain what is "KOLD" and why is it seperate from the rest of KO TOYS?

I'm hoping it's because these seekers are of better quality than the brittle, knees backward KO Skywarp and Thundercracker.

KOLD is an acronym for Knock Off Lucky Draw, it is a line of KOs that originally referred to the Gold Optimus and Starscreams they produced as... you guessed it: knock off Lucky Draw figures. The name has kinda been used to encompass the whole line of toys from them as a way to set them apart from the lower quality KOs for sale in the general KO section.

I've been researching this a bit for my reviews of the Clear SS and Optimus :D

And yes they are high-er quality KOs, not quite original quality but they are very close; the gold SS is cast in a high quality ABS and if it weren't for the issues with gold-chrome on the figure (even real LDs have this issue) the quality would almost be spot on with the original. The clear ones (so far) use a good quality plastic but it does have a more fragile feel to it; it doesn't have as much "flex" to it as my Gentie Ghost Starscream's plastic does (not that that has much flex in it either, it just feels a bit more sturdy)

I think I know too much about this crap for my own good lol

Not that they're bad or anything, but I'm content with painting up my own Rainmakers. Mostly, it's the fact that they're clear that bothers me.

I totally understand everybody's dislike for the translucent/GID plastic, and preference towards a solid colored version. Seekers are kinda my niche though, so I had to get em....and I already know I'll end up getting the solid color set if/when they make em too.

So did anyone get a set of the glow in the dark rain makers? I'd be curious to hear a review...

Yeah the reviews are in another thread. From what I remember they were junk. The solid ones coming out next year should be much better since they're made by the folks who do the high quality replicas and Sunstorm.

the glow in the dark RAINMAKERS are cool with the solid joints and hinges help improve the figure but ther still fragile because of the material they use.

Don't buy them. In fact, don't buy anything from KOToys.
