But it didn't. It's like KOs of anything, the original still retains its value for those who want an original. Those who want a KO pay accordingly. There might be more of the latter now instead of the former, but the point still stands.

 

They could've at least removed the "Exclusive to TCC" part on the box...

 

Exactly. I have a legit one. So don't really care about the KO. But ripping off the box does indeed suck.

 

Alucard, you can buy them from ebay once its released like all CHMS. They are not expensive either, for example, wild rider was like 40$ shipped from Taiwan or something.

 

I was a little upset that I missed the ball on Deep Cover. This thread has convinced me now more than ever that I don't need KO in my collection despite my Diaclone lust.


As for P/CP, I have the Club version and don't care either way.

 

CHMS is destroying all the exclusive figures

 

how is it "destroying" the figures. The only people that should be upset are those that paid $100+ for the legit ones. If you got it at the intial price, what is the issue? I realize it's nice to own something "exclusive", but I have to ask, how does that benefit you? In my opinion, the only reason people sound upset is because they think it will hurt the resale price of the figure, but why would you buy a figure solely to resell?

 

Well I don't know about you guys, but as soon as I heard about this knock off, my legit P/CPs exploded.

 

Maybe the KO will come with a decent sized head.

CHMS has yet to produce anything that directly competes with the product they're knocking off. Whether it's the weak plastic, bad joints, melted faces or smudged paint apps, the originals will maintain most, if not all, of their value.

Yeah, a KO doesn't necessarily drop the price of an exclusive, look at the various Classic Convoy/Prime exclusives, from SG Prime, LD Gold Convoy, black Henkei Convoy, Crystal Convoy, all of em are still way expensive! I have to admit, it will be harder on people looking for the real thing, but it probably doesn't affect the demand that badly.

 

That's probably a picture of the real box, not a repro.

Their SG Optimus, Rodimus, and Mirage were all easily identified as "not the real thing", on purpose. It would be odd now if this one was identical.

Overreact much? This would be the FOURTH TFCC figure to get knocked off, and the first three were all purposely done a little different from the original so they couldn't be mistaken from the real thing.

If it makes you feel better you can sell me all your pre-Beast Wars Botcon figures at your cost before they become completely worthless!

BTW - If they have a good quality working Universe Deluxe Sideswipe mold, does this mean the other exclusives based on it can be far away? G2 Breakdown please!

That Ghost Starscream I got from them is REALLY FREAKING NICE. They are getting better at this.

 

My ghostscreamer is not perfect, but I'm glad to own him for a somewhat decent price. Same with the other ko's out there that I would never own originals of due to cost.
