Wait a second. Are you talking about using Future as a clear coat after finishing to hide brush strokes? Neat idea. If so, how do you apply? By brush, or just by dropping it off the head of a pin like you do for joint tightening?

Say, Cheet: how are you getting that light paint to look so strong against the black plastic tires? Do you use a primer?

The gold on the his rims, specifically. Or really, any time you're painting onto black plastic in general.

Always depends on the paint. With the yellow (it was Chrome Yellow) I did use a primer.

Yes and with a brush although you can airbrush it. Long as you don't gloob it all on too thick it will self-level and hide the brush strokes well unless you used to much or have paint "boogers". You can put flat base in to have a flat finish but if I go for flat I use dullkote. It's the best flat I've used.

What kind of primer? Just normal spray primer with lots of masking, or is there a good brush-on primer?

This is amazing. I've been wanting to pick up some model paints anyway... but now I think I'm just one Knockout figure away from pulling the trigger on those. I might just have to copy you.

The regular "Primer" is white, not blazing white but white nonetheless. Gray would be better for yellow, white to go over red plastic for the lines and such.
