I recently bought a loose G1 Snarl. It's looking great, the chrome is shining and the toy is clean as new. But curiously, most joints are completely loose. My first conclusion was that this is a knock-off. How do I tell these apart?

I tried Google and this thread but couldn't find anything useful.

    Any help?

Which joints are loose? My G1 Snarl I got brand new as a kid way back in the mists of 80s time had a loose waist right out of the box.

loose joints aren't the best indication of KO especially in loose figure, as its over 20 years in this case and likely has seen some play which would intime loosen the joints

Yeah, I know that. But usually loose joints are accompanied by bad chrome and scratched painting. This toy looks as beautiful as new.

    Loose joints include:
    - robot waist
    - robot chest window
    - robot legs
    - dino arms
    - dino tail halves
    - dino head halves

I can't even find the "1985 Takara/Hasbro Made in China" print anywhere on the toy. Where is this supposed to be located on the original toy?

A good KO indicator is the head itself. If it's rather dark, almost like a black, then it's probably a KO. The real G1 is much more translucent.
