Were there any 'Knight' themed transformers? Transformers that upheld a code of honor, used shields/weapons, or looked to be a throw back to the medieval period?

Beast Wars Silverbolt instantly comes to mind. He had those feather sword/missiles, but no shield. He occasionally used his back wings to defend himself, however.

Well there's always Bludgeon, but he's probably not the kind you're looking for...

Vector Prime comes to mind. Junkions used axes and shields. Star Saber definitely counts. In fact, Victory was full of melee weapon goodness.

TFA Sentinel Prime has a lance and a shield. But he's not exactly honorable.

BW Silverbolt is all I can think about. Same with Sixshot and Star Saber.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Surprised there wasn't a knight oriented set of Transformers in the comics somewhere. Was hoping there were a set of Transformers I wasn't aware of that someone could turn me onto for custom ideas. Lasers and all are cool, but I prefer the melee weapon types, and was hoping to have something to mimic/pattern customs after instead of just creating my own from scratch.

BW Silverbolt even had a little theme song that sounded right out of a medieval movie.

Most Knight -like Transfomer is Star Saber, but he's also like a Samuri.

The Dreamwave version of The Fallen always looked to me more like a mix between a knight and the Shredder than anything that could transform.

    lol Very true.

Love the WFC/WWI transformers, and doing a Zeta Prime for my next custom, though I would bump him for a solid set of Knight Themed Transformers. Surprised there isn't some type of "Order' or such in one of the comic lines.

The Circle of Light; though so far only Drift himself is shown with an eventual Earth mode.

Of the other Circle-oids, the only other character with a toy, Dai Atlas, is a different take on the character from the old Japanese G1 version; the IDW Dai Atlas isn't all that big on firearms himself.

(Or rather, he, plus those inhabitants of New Crystal City who are also members of the Circle, follow the blades-only dynamic; though it seems to be less of an issue for "militia" troops drawn from the civilian populace to use guns.)
