I will gladly buy all three of these for roughly $85. The alt mode is obviously the weaker half of the figure, but damn do those bot modes look SWEET.

The problems w/ Knight Morpher were fixed in Annihilator & rereleases of Commander. Track down Vangelus' review if you don't belive me.

Man that Alt mode is weak sauce! However if the price is right I will get all 3. Only thing in the bot mode I don't care for is the cat ears they seem to have. It makes them look like the Hello Kitty: Hearts of Steel - Seekers!

I'm gonna track down this Da Vinci character and give him a piece of my mind for screwing up the alt mode :p

On a serious note, very, VERY nice work MMC. I'm hoping that the other 3rd party HoS seeker doesn't tread on the toes of this version in terms of sales for what is an extremely niche market.

The robot mode looks really good in that steampunkish way. However the alt-mode leaves too much to be desired. Not sure if it is a buy or not. I'll definitely have to see it first before i buy.

The alt modes are kinda whatever, but I'll be displaying mine in bot mode, so I couldn't care less. :D

Yes, the original intent was discovered (fairly recently acutally, so you can't blame Starscream, working on it before the discovery, not getting a memo from the future :p ) to be cloth around the wings, but the shape of the wings were those of a bat.

Also, it was only hinted in Leonardo's sketches that he had planned to wrap them in cloth; everyone missed the hints until some engineers went to actually build the thing, to prove it would fly, & had to figure it out.

I don't know why this even bothers some people so much. A Giant robot scanned concepts of what engineers of the time thought a flying vehicle would look like. Of course its not going to look 100%, accept the fact a giant robot needs to fit in there. The thing is, it still resembles the concept as to be believable enough to the habitants of the planet. I know others see this much differently but its how I rationalize it myself.

I think the alt mode is the perfect mix of alien craft and steam punk genre. Which is exactly what the designer was aiming for. Everybody has the right to just not like it, but calling it bad or a failure because they don't like the genre is just silly.

They're also failing to realize da Vinci's design was for a glider, not a prop-plane.

Starscream isn't going to glide! He'd make modifications to allow for better control & speed. Hence Propellers. The wings also have to hold a slag of a lot more weight (Cybertronian Alloys vs. light weight woods & cloth). Also, the steering mechanism had to be changed, as it was discovered the modern A-frame (what hanggliders use) was the general idea he had (only inverted), but a pilotless machine can't work like that.

Again, Starscream is a scientist & probably made modifications.

    V Nice.

I just noticed that the general look of them and the use of Train wheels strongly suggests they are designed to take of and land on Railway tracks.

I do like the alt cover design with the seaplane mod though - I was half hoping they would give themselves some engineering wiggle room to enable those mods to be done to the initial design and perhaps make the seaplane version as Thrust Dirge & Ramjet or the Rainmakers.

A Railway launched one is a nice complement to the Trains and a Seaplane mod would be a nice complement to Cyclops.

    That is an interesting notion.

Cyclops will be my first HOS toys. Did the Optimus Prime train come with rail road tracks? Will these seekers? That would be a cool accessory if they did.

I really dig that Starscream. Alt-mode not so much, but the bot mode is just pure win.
