I have this crazy idea to build a movie Grimlock... not classic grimy repainted... I want it to be big... dwarfing movie voyager prime... Any suggestions about the base I should use? Ideally, he'd still be a t-rex...

Leader Megs? Only heavily, heavily modified. Since he's cybertronian by base, with scupting it could work. Replace the nosecone with a T-rex head, and swap the pontunes with little dino arms, remove the wings and add a tail it could work.

Perhaps you could modify a Zoid? DO they make big enough Zoids to make a mechanical T-rex for Grimmy?

I personally would never ruin a Berserk Fuhrer, too badass. Id go for the one linked in the eBay auction above.

Wait for hasbro to announce a Leader Bonecrusher! Someone here did a BC to GL digibash and it kinda worked.

I think there'll be quite a bit of waiting. First off, wasn't Hasbro only offering a Voyager Bonecrusher? Secondly, I think they kind of threw the idea out the window. >.>

The only BC ever announced were legends and Deluxe. There will never be a Leader class BC, Hasbro won't invest in a character that only had 2 minutes of screen time to be Leader class, which in itself is one of the less popular size classes.

    I have another idea:

What about leader Brawl? He could be reworked to have a dino-mode and 'bot mode.

again it's the whole $40 dollar thing... Don't wanna waste $40 on something that could be ruined...

Question... how big is Transmetal Megs? I used to have him a while ago, but don't anymore... with some modding (mainly panel work to get the movie athestic) some paint and a new noggin it would be workable

LOL. I just walked out of BigLots where they have KOs of that one... but it would take some HEAVY modding... clipping the wings.... all new head and neck.... both bot and beast.

it's looking more like it's either gonna be my first scratchbuild, or a model to Transmetal Megs... if I can find one that is... which is doubtful... and scratch building scares me lol

You could upsize just about anything you want, assuming it's too small... The 1:18 Scale Bumblebee thread has enough detail about that... (oversized Bonecrusher, maybe?)
