Questionable box art or not, i'm long since sold on this one.

 

The toys are the least problem I have with this line... Well, except maybe for the exorbitant prices, which are turning me off the toys as well.

It's the fiction and the artworks that causes all the hate. The lolicon packaging with those cutesified underage-looking "OH NOES THEY ARE OFFICIALLY ESTABLISHED TO BE OF LEGAL AGE BY THEIR BIOS SO IT'S ALL OKAY" anime girls. The radioplays with their ******ed sexual allusions (the basement of the EDC headquarters is called the "Genital System", for fuck's sake!). The mangas with the creepy tentacle porn imagery. That kind of stuff.

The TOYS, at least the Transformers themselves, are no worse than any other Binaltech or Alternators toys, unless Takara quality controls trikes again.

And that picture right there epitomises why I'll never spend a penny supporting this bullshit toyline. "It's not lolita!"

Wow. I am now more convinced than ever that it is the devil.
They not only have the whole little girl rape thing going on, but apparently the vomit fetish as well.
So, Autorooper shrank, made her swallow him and then vomit him back up.

While I think that the robot looks cool, I can’t spend a penny on this line.
Spare me this mockery of Transformers.

As for getting Autrooper...HELL NO. I'd rather get the movie toys then buy Kiss Players TFs.

There's such a thing as "ignoring" and/or "discarding" elements one dislikes, as well.

I promise they won't crawl out of the trash and strangle you in your sleep.  

 

But they might bend over in front of you, giggle and blush.

 

Although I like Maxda RX-8s, and the Meister mould in general, there's too much that preventing me from getting this. The box art is the worst of the three releases so far, although it isn't porn as such it's still really dubious. The background fiction is just plain wrong in contrast. Autorooper (or whatever) is just too expensive also for an alternator, a plastic figurine, Kremzeek, some traffic cones and a CD containing more of that fiction, and since the box is quite large (two thirds air) that drives up shipping as well. Autorooper is also a non-character whose head doesn't really bare any similarity to any G1 character (correct if I'm wrong), so you can't really pretend that he's, say, a G1 character *cough*Decepticharge / Dragstrip *cough*.

I did make an exception with Hot Rod though because his box art wasn't that bad, he's a well-known character, and Takara did a good job of turning him into Ford GT.

Skipping this fella as I havent got KP Hotrodimus just as yet. (Sigh!) With the price these are commanding now, it would be wise to be selective in collecting the bots. Did someone mentioned that these are clones or anything like that? If that's tha case, I've gotta skip this figure to avoid being caught in George Lucas syndrome. (All the different colored Clone Troopers & such)

Err..Different colored Autoroopers to come?? I hope not..  

 

Sorry for the bump... just thought some folks might like to know he's in at BBTS. Just got my "preordered products available" note from them.

Think I'll be throwing the box away, though.

 

And still no one can confirm whether it's a remold of Alt. Meister or the BT Meister?
