I still can't figure out who did it? Which Decepticon kidnapped them?? I think that it was Soundwave, he called them, and if you look really closely at the shadowy figure towering over them, it looks very similar to Soundwave's head. The only thing wrong with my theory is that if he would have come down to kidnap them he presumably would have stayed to fight too.

Anyways, does anyone know for sure or at least have an idea??

 

i'm pretty sure it was rampage since he's the one who dumped them in the desert. also soundwave just sent out the order to have them abducted. i might be wrong tho...

 

Pretty sure Soundwave just called in the kidnapping.. I forget who exactly released them, but Im betting he's the one that did the kidnapping.. (probably one of the constructo-clones)

We have no real reason to think it was anyone we'd recognize. There were plenty of unnamed deceptions. There's also no reason to think that in all that time they couldn't have been handed over to another deception prior to Egypt.

 

For a second it looked like the Fallen, but I'm pretty sure it's just a random unnamed D-Con. Bay loves the confusion!

 

Just because Rampage had them captive doesn't mean he's the one who kidnapped them.

The pic looks alot like Barricade...Maybe he was in the movie....?

 

He looks more like Barricade to me. So I say Barricade.

 

I doubt its Barricade, as his arm doesn't have a wheel in that shot. And prior to the kidnapping, they deliberately showed protoforms crashing into Paris, which seems to imply it was one of those random protoform Cons.

Secondly, whether that was protoform Rampage or not, its hard to say either.
Rampage is either centaur-like with four legs, or hops around like a pogo stick. Whereas in that kidnapping sequence, the Con who does the kidnapping is clearly bipedal (two legs).

Although this isn't absolute proof that it isn't Rampage, as its also entirely possible his protoform had two legs but scanned mode has four, I would still lean towards the kidnapper being a random unnamed Decepticon, who later passed the parents on to Rampage for the dessert scene.

I concur. Its probably just an protoform decepticon.

 

Thereby showing a friendlier side to the Decepticons.

 

The way I see the scene -

- Soundwave crank calls Judy, thereby getting a fix on her location.
- Downloads data on the targets to a group of Decepticons who make their way to Paris.
- Decepticons kidnap Judy and Ron, and take them to wherever their on-Earth staging base is.
- When Soundwave locates Sam, he has the parents transported there. Rampage is chosen for the task and the parents are given to him.


There's a bit of time where they are prisoner that is unaccounted for - it might be a good plot point for a sequel to imply they've been implanted with Hypno Chips or some sort of other device to allow the Decepticons to keep tabs on Sam since they've got to have realised he's important for some reason by now. Or at the least, so Megatron can exact a fitting revenge on the kid.

 

He says something like "spring the trap..."

 

It was definately Rampage, the protoform's voice is a direct match to the transformers Red Rampage we see again in the desert;

"Yaaaaeahhhvrrrr", well something like this.
I've seen the movie 9 times, 3 time on IMAX and six times w/ my friend on Bootleg.
In my opinion they gave the best voice to Rampage, followed by Soundwave!!

Who Knows how bad-ass Scrapper could've been with his voice, well TF3, don't let me down.
