which is of course a corruption in itself... but, cute kid, have fun, dont waste a minute of time with her. shell be grown up soon...
I thought it was going to be about the same thing, and I was going to defend some kids on here that are hardcore as many of us. Great to see your raising and Transformers Fan. Good Job! Completely awesome! Wish I could raise children like this, more Transformers fans are great. Be very proud of yourself and your daughter!
Again, thanks all for the kind comments. I have to say, I was pretty surprised that she latched onto Transformers. I was a Star Wars kid growing up, and loved having all the old Kenner action figures and playsets I could get my hands on. I've tried forever to get her to get into Star Wars, but she really regards it more as "Daddy stuff". Prior to last year, she knew about Transformers only through the feature film. Again, it was "Daddy stuff", and it didn't really interest her that much. Hell, the movies didn't do much to reignite my Transformers fandom much - the first one was OK, but I was definitely disappointed in the second one (and I do believe the writer's strike was a contributing factor). It wasn't until I bought, played, and became addicted to War for Cybertron that my interest in Transformers really came back. So, after she returned from her grandparents' house last summer, we had an hour and a half drive home from the Austin aiport and I wanted to keep her amused on the way home. So I handed her my iPhone and told her she could watch some cartoons on the way home - the only cartoons on it was the first season of G1. She watched them all the way home and the rest is...well, history. While she still loves Princess Aurora, the Disney Channel, and dressing up - she also likes to play War for Cybertron on the Wii, watching the G1 cartoons and movie, and taking a bot down off the shelf now and then and transforming it back and forth. Arcee is of course her favorite (it's also the name she asked for on her soccer jersey), but she also thinks the world of Rodimus and Springer, thinks Blurr and Wheelie are funny, and is a fan of sticking her Robot Heroes Rumble in my face and saying "First we crack the shell, then we crack the nuts inside!" She's my hunting buddy, and loves to look at the pictures in the collections thread (she badly wants to play with many people's toys, lol). As regards to that little smirk in the picture - she was playing Starscream, if I remember correctly. And that night Starscream wanted some ice cream, so .... hey, I'm not refusing anyone carrying Megatron! I gotta say, Transformers is a fun hobby - but sharing it with her just makes it that much better.
She sounds like the perfect daughter for a TFs fan! I think it's great that you've given her a 'male' interest to balance out all her other 'girly' interests.
Hopefully if I ever have a kid, they will be into transformers as much as your daughter. You must be a proud father hahaha.
Not true, it wouldn't be the first time they've been photographed together.. one to sell the other Some of you here will remember this ad.... so yes, Barbies and Transformers do go together. All kidding aside, it warms the heart when a father shares his hobby with his daughter..you're giving her fond memories that will last her entire lifetime Also, we can use future Ladies Group members
