I won't lie, whenever I see some kid on those, I kind of hope they trip on something and face plant.

And yes I'm jealous as well. Didn't have stuff like that when I was a little kid.

Yeah I've seen kids at local malls zipping around with those. Kind of annoying really. The only good thing is during that split second when you see them and really want them to fall over.

I saw a little girl rolling around on a pair of these in Sears the other day. She zipped right past me and smack into the side of a Kenmore fridge.

I'd love some of those, but I don't think they make 'em big enough (I take a size 12, UK measurement). Although I have seen adjustable wheels that you can clamp either side of your shoes; they're quite tempting assuming they go wide enough.

On the other hand, I've heard that the unusual way you have to stand when using 'em can really screw up your posture. So those of you disappointed that the kids don't fall over can take some comfort in the crippling back pain they'll be suffering in a few years. :p

This can be dangerous if kids are armed properly

One could roll by and cut you, while the next one has a brick....

And where are you all getting these in adult sizes? It's time for an upgrade

So what's special about them? Do they have rocket boosters in them?

Yeah... I've seen kids with those roller-skating shoes... am I jealous? No, not really... but let's just hope those kids don't crash or trip over something.

some people I work with got me a pair two years ago. and I'm like a US size 11.5. but I tell you what--I can't go more than 6 feet on the wheels. I don't know how the hell the kids do it...

It's natural selection on wheels. ;)

I am secretly jealous, but when people let their children run free through stores on them to crash into stuff (and people), it pretty much annoys me.

Yeah, we're going on close to 10 years with these things around. You need more nieces and nephews.

Soaps are for doing grinding tricks on handrails without a board or rollerblades. See the shiny bits on the sole? You grind with that.

Yeah those kids drive me nuts, they crash into people all the time here. The worst is when I see them being towed by a parent at the mall. In my day it was called WALKING and it wasn't THAT hard. :mad

Maybe I am jealous too. :(
