fanstoys are good at hiding things until release or close to release too ... just wish these 3rd party company's would lay all their cards on the table without hiding some up their sleeves until the end

 

Dunno, FT are actually pretty open with prototypes, test shots, painted shots, they're just sometimes a little reluctant to send out review samples these days. They kind of rely on feedback too much to hide things (Lupus and Tesla excepted)
Although this is KFC, who've been playing all sorts of games with releases recently.

Here from ATPs facebook. Looks really good although mistransformed. @ibot Loving how long the plane mode looks and how wide the tanker looks. Amazing to move that much mass cleanly. I'm sure everything has slowed due to stunticons going to the front of the list to make a don't steal from me statement.

I know ibot said a reveal but again I can't expect anything more than cgi.

Yeah. The plane is definitely his weakest mode and I honestly think he's kind of mediocre in truck mode as well. I'd probably rate him about on par with Chigurh in terms of triple changers, though the bot mode at least looks decent. Just not sure if too many other companies will bother with this guy? Springer and Blitzwing got a lot of attention but the rest of the triples seem unpopular or something with 3P?
Dunno, maybe better shots and some video reviews may convince me. I was in for this before but my interest is currently circling the airport in a holding pattern till I see more.

Different scale. Different aesthetics. Octane was never a headmaster in G1.

 

Did we ever get any clarity that this is going to be white or if those were final colors at tfcon? I feel like this my most anticipated figure this year after terminus.

FINALLY!!

My triple changer shelf if heavily in need of some MP figures!!

 

Octane is one of the few S3 characters I'm interested in getting. He feels like he was left out of S2, given his design and alt modes especially.

 

Remember last month when ibot promised the test shots were ready? Well... its still unpainted. :/ but given the pace of this particular project, i kinda expected this

 

I'm reeeeeally hoping this turns out good. As long as it's not covered in chrome and has better QC than other KFC products.... wait, I'm hoping for too much there, aren't I?  

Same here! I also had the toy as a kid, so it's one of those exceptions to the scope of my S1 &S2 MP collection, like Six Shot.
