And yes it does make sense. Thats why I advocate that the toon should not be considered the rightfull source of all depictions.

Too bad about Kingzilla's elbows being just friction joints... He is a heavy bot, maybe his tail can help to counter the weight of the front and keep his elbows / knees in place...

 

A lot of us wanted those off white as well, also just sayin

I think it's fairly simple:

Snapdragon has NEVER been shown to be silver. He's not "a toon version of a chrome-plated toy gun", where "chrome silver couldn't be animated accurately". He's not Megatron. There is no silver or chrome version him to try to replicate on-screen. He's off-white/pale grey to start with. Again---same as Starscream or HunGrrr. Starscream isn't light grey on the show "because they ckukcnt if silver". He's grey in the show, because he's grey, period.

Remember the absolute #1 reason for all things, the point of the franchise itself: "To sell toys". Snaptrap's toy was first. He was hastily added into US season four, to sell that toy. Which wasn't silver...

 

We should start a round of bitching then about the eyes. The toy had them yellow with no visor, and this is red with a visor  

I Dont dissagree with what you said, but in the end everyone will be nitpicking to infinity me thinks.

 

I've given the matter serious consideration, and I believe they're cannon-tits.
(Tit-cannons could be confused as cannons that fire tits, which is just silly)

I don't mean to be combative towards you man, but I really don't think getting the main colour wrong is 'nitpicking'. Would you call it nitpicking if the white bits on Magnus were Silver or Hotrod were pink?

 

Depends on how it looked and from what source it was ripped from. There is no Pink Hotrod. Although it might have looked fabulous  

Nah its ok, I understand what you say. Sometimes figures have gonne on my 'forget it' list for worse.

 

Some people are not as obsessive as others... If Hot Rod was depicted as a blue car i wouldn't be mad about it...

It is just a nice repaint... that's all

But I understand the people that want accuracy even if that mean a "downgrade"

 

Got worried for a second. I would get it tho since its coming with the new head and the diy hands but wouldn't want too much of a price increase. Even better that there isn't one.

Also does snapdragons face use the headmaster

 

I don't mind it if the dragon face is incorporated into the headmaster; however, I would appreciate it if the transformation would at least involve spinning 180 degree at the waist or a higher level up the abdomen so the dragon face gets broken up a bit instead of having the entire face sticking out on the back of the headmaster robot mode. Oh well I guess we are not buying it for the headmaster. Just a nitpick

here is some more updates and I put more info together as below:

 

Love the pics!! Any chance for off white (instead of silver) for both Apeface and Snapdragon? And more accurate toon colors as suggested by @Kayin ? These will make the figures even more perfect!  

Monster mode:
teeth - white
arms - black
feet - purple

Bot mode:
feet - purple
chest and crotch - black

In the cartoon there are two colors in the main body, offwhite and silver gray , we already have apeface/kingorilla in silver gray as toon , so snapdragon/kingzilla will follow .

However the feet/toe of robot kingzilla , will be purple .
