Man that looks really good. Makes me want to paint mine now. What paint did you use?

 

I used tamiya white primer and a model masters medium white spray. And LOTS of painters tape.

Coincidentally just checked this page to see I'm not the only one painting this guy white. I also removed his gigantic backpack... since I only display in bot mode. He looks so much better in white!

 

Nice! I based mine on the Headmasters cartoon: I also only used the primer at the panel joints... That's how I avoided the paint rubbing.

I debated doing the same for his chest, but opted to keep it black.
The white definitly helps with the contrast of the faction symbols.
After seeing Snapdragon in white it amazes me they decided to make this in the gray-silver. White just changes the presence of this figure so much. Glad I took the plunge & I'm sure i speak on your behalf by saying you are too!

 

I couldn't never do that! I want my toys to be fully functional.

I remember Apeface being drawn with his "backpack" sometimes in the Headmaster cartoon...

 

I may be in the minority, but I only ever transform my figures if they come packaged in alt mode.
Don't get me wrong, its so much fun to transform them, but once they get in my display they rarely get moved.

 

depending on the situation i'm like this, but my display is static and not behind glass, prob once a quarter(even more when i'm deployed and i have figures) i switch their modes for a day, uncombined and alt modes take up so much space it's hard to leave anything that way for long and it makes it unlikely to be something that needs to be a regular thing

I display most of my transformers in alt-mode! Lol I think I am the weird one here!

But with these Horrorcons, I ended up buying two sets of each one, so I have them displayed in robot and jet mode.

 

Why not in both alt modes though.....

I wanted a silver and a white version. Almost went in for a second copy today of each but bailed when I realized Idont have much time to customize these days. workworkwork... hope @ibot and the group continue to recieve our calls for white alt recolor. i want both.

 

Nope,........ your not the only one here that does that as i display 99.9% of all of my transformers in there alt mode. I know the bot mode and so does everybody else. So i like to be different and see the vehicle mode instead or whatever mode they have.

 

Sad but true. I at least try to transform every one at least once. Think mp-36 is the only one I haven’t tackled

Add me to the group that rarely transforms these things. I collect robits that have the capability to transform, not cars, jets and huge mechanical animals  

 

Picked up Kingorilla locally from Toydojo, sadly he was soldout of Kingzilla so I'll have to order one from another place looking forward to having these 2 on display with FP trio and Devil Stinger as the leader (2 figures down out of all that 4 to go lmao)

After owning Kingorilla for a month, yeah KFC is not for me, the figures is just to big for my collection guess it's back to the drawing board and i snapped 2 of the shoulder/skirt pieces off smmfh

 

Do the rear wheels actually flip out 90º for jet mode? Mine only seem to go 45º and pushing harder just makes them start to bend. They don't support any weight at that angle.
