Wow, I had no idea he had so many panels that moved during transformation.

Thanks for the review peaugh! Glad to see all those panels don't make for a floppy mess.

Here is a pic of a disassembled soundwave hand if anyone needs a visual aide

So the first release is the metallic paint job? (No problems with that here, just wanna clarify.)

Interesting that no one received advanced copies of the cassette for review/early demo. Actually, I don't even recall seeing a coloured prototype of it. Wonder if KFC is trying to do the finishing touches on it and the SW hands.

I am VERY impressed with this. Posed with MP-Soundwave, it doesn't look out of place at all. I could genuinely see this exact figure being released by Takara.

How does the plastic feel? My only 3rd party MP figure is Quakwave and I LOVE it. Is this as good as that?

It's not quite at Quakewave level, but it seems nice and solid.

Is it better than Citizen Stack?

Maybe? It definitely feels better overall, but it's also thicker overall than some of Stack's thinner parts.

Cool. I do like Citizen Stacks so if this feels like an improvement, that is great. Thanks.

no ratchets anywhere on this guy, which has me worried a bit in the long term. he just seems to be held together in those areas by cheap screws or something.

would be really nice to see if my hunch is correct or not. I guess once these start hitting people's hands, some nice fan can take theirs apart and check. ;)

Other than that, the vide reviews look fantastic thus far.

Especially Ben's I've watched his loads of times now. :D

I don't believe there are any ratchets, but to be honest he's so light he doesn't really need them.

The Legs do have ratchets at the upper part of the legs. you can see the ratchet on the bottom when he is transformed into alt mode.
