Just got my set of these, 3 days ago. I finally opened them up, and transformed them all to robot mode.

I am pretty happy with them. There was a "tough" spot or two, here and there, but overall not bad. I wish they had better hand held weapons/blasters. I have to get some for them, any suggestions?

I also, need to add some decepticon logos on the shoulders, no biggy.

I ordered some batteries too, for the light up feature on number 1.

 

Hey everyone! Now that this is available, for those who do have it. Have they by any chance fixed the tripod pins so that when making the gun, you can put the peg into the lens section to form the gun? I was trying to read through and couldn't find any answers. I know you can still make the gun but I was just curious if they made that fix or not. Thanks for any further news.

 

im not aware of any changes that have been made to the mold yet. just a V1 out there right now.  

 

What's the issue exactly? I just got mine today, and I can make the tripod guns.

Otherwise, I think this set is pretty great, nice bots and a great deal (I got it from eBay with a coupon for $94 shipped). The shins swivel a lot, I might put some future on the edge of the panel to thicken it up a little bit to hold more. But other than that there's literally no problem with mine, very happy.

 

This figure set is really good. My first KFC product, and it is a winner. At $110, that's $37 for each of the 3 bots that are taller than MP carbots.

Even BobbySkullface, who is a largely critical of all of KFC's previous works gave this his approval. His major complaint was the tolerances and stress marks, but my copy has none of those. (hopefully it will stay that way) I transformed it without any instructions, and it was actually fun. EXCEPT for that stupid foot flap where if it reaches 'the point of no return', you're f*cked. Thankfully, I was aware of this design issue beforehand.

To me, this is the best looking not-flector, in both bot and alt mode. And with some diecast, good plastic. Paint apps could be a lot better.

MT: no partsforming is awesome
FT: they nailed the colors perfectly, which was no easy task.
KFC: best face sculpts, cheaper price, but too tall

i like this set..

i think the MMC version has a better ALT mode, but there isn't a whole lot of difference between the 3 versions out there as far as bot mode goes, and this one is $50 less...

 

Anyone want to sell me just the tiny reflector it comes with? Thanks!

 

I was in the search of a Maketoys Reflectors set, and was debating FT or MT, until last night I saw some videos review of this set, then from the moment I know these guys exists, within 20 hrs I have them in my hand, lucky enough to pick up the last set in the store, this is my first KFC purchase (exclude a pair of Sound Wave hands), and it is way better than I expected!!

 

I caved in and brought this set, too good to pass at 105. Should be here soon. I never transformed my set from FTs as the arms were too tight.

 

Added a lens stickers to the miniature Reflector

 

@ibot Keith, any plans to reissue the opticlones?

 

I'm in the market for these guys too. Looks like BBTS has them on preorder right now, slated for Q2 2017 arrival.
