Wow, that looks good.

 

What's interesting to note is that they've completely redesigned the figure from the initial teaser reveal. Note all of the changes to the finer details, especially. It actuall serves to make him much more cartoon accurate.

 

And it looks like hes got the same weak elbows like Captain Shark. Hopefully its sturdier.

KFC is honestly the best group to make him though, cause when he falls apart it'll be the most cartoon accurate gimmick yet.

Unfortunately low on my want list but it would be so cool to have two different versions that can ride each other, lol.

I'll pick this up if the QC holds up. I like this one and the other junkion brother they're releasing. KFC has awesome looking molds, if only they could get their shit together QC wise.

 

What I like best about the revised design it that they did the EXACT OPPOSITE of what most 3P designers do… they made it cleaner. Bravo.

 

I just hope he's not shiny like Transistor.

 

I wouldn't hold my breath regarding QC. I'm still waiting for a solid opening release from KFC. Even Transistor, for all his positives, has his share of issues. Flaws like paint chipping should not be showing up in the final product.

 

It makes sense now why it looks like the same feel as cyclonus and the sweeps. I think it looks great, hopefully the quality keeps getting better. I like transistor and if these are as good or better, I'm set but broke.

OMG, THESE RENDERS, I can't believe his backside looks just as good as his front! NO JOKES PLEASE! 

 

The paint chipping isn't because they used cheap paint or applied it badly. It chips cause when you have plastic tabs rubbing against each other during transformation, that can happen.

My CW Optimus has paint chipping on the large chest so even Hasbro stuff can have paint chipping. The only "fix" would be to use red plastic instead of plastic that is painted red.

 

I have seen him flake just when handling him. Even so, bad choice to use paint. Should have been molded plastic.

And don't get me started on the cassette that came with him. The V1s look like they were painted by grade schoolers. Like I have said before, I would never recommend preordering a KFC toy. Too many cut corners on their end.

 

With a mould this good, I am happy to buy QC issues and all. I know roughly what to expect from Transistor, but if this improves the QC then bonus! He will only get transformed occasionally.

 

Yeah, he must work out...

 

I wish these 3rd party companies would get out of the MP scale thing.
