I'm sure this has been touched on, but I can't find anything using the search function, so...

Anyone know what these Transformer Universe toys are that I always see at the KB Toys up here in NH? I just picked up "Storm Jet" and passed on Sharkticon, Barricade, some BW looking ones (in same packaging) and a slew of Legends size jets that apparently combine. Looking at Storm Jet in my hands, he easily combines as well.. I think these may be from Energon, but that's a grey period in my collecting days, so anyone know what these may be and why they're released like this? The dates on the packaging say 2005 but these are restocked and shuffled regularly.

They're basically leftovers from the old Universe line, and repackaged leftovers from Armada, Energon, and Cybertron. I know all three of the Energon Combiner leaders were released like this, but I can't remember which of the limbs were, though if my memory is correct it was only a couple of them.

The Legends size jets that you mentioned probably combine into a sword...

I think these are old stuff in Universe packaging that Dollar stores and KB trying to sell/get rid of. Recent ones might be some Cybertron scouts in Universe packages. I saw them at some dollar stores several months ago.

Ask Kickback, he works in a KB and he would be wayy more knowledgeable.
BUt hey, BUY SHARKTICON NOW. Easily one of the best figures from Energon PERIOD.

Cool, thanks, I'll probably get him later this week.
Also, I just found a hidden large head in Storm Jet's cockpit!

Storm Jet, Barricade, Sharkticon, are left over Energon figures repackaged in Universe packaging. Storm Jet and Barricade are the leaders of the combiner teams and do combine into a larger robot if you get the limbs for them. I think Hasbro re-released two of the four Energon limbs for the Aerialbots under the Universe line but I don't know which ones they were. The Legends sized jets are repaints of Japanese Micromaster figures that were originally only available in Japan. They were repainted similar to G1 Aerialbots. Hasbro also released a Constructicon version, a train version, and a Protectobot version of the Micromaster combiners. The Beast Wars figures might have just been left over stock in the Universe line since the line was basically a repaint line that tied into OTFCC (Original Transformers Collectors Club); the official TF convention that came before the current BotCon.

Or he confused Energon Terrorcons (Cruellock, Insecticon, etc.) and whatever Cybertron beasts got repacked (Undermine, Backstop) for Beast Wars figures.
