This is my first custom that I'm posting here. I didn't like the stickers that came with the kits so I took my shot at painting him up.
To me, a custom is really never complete, so I may update the photos if I do any touch ups and improvements. Right now, I'm not really satisfied with the paint job. I don't know if I will ever be satisfied since I'm still fairly new at painting action figures. I used Testors Acrylics and Citadel Black Ink, Gold, and Silver paint.

Wow. Your paint makes it five times better. I am looking at threads that prove there is enough detail in these moulds to make customising them worthwhile. This has done that.

Panel lines arer way too thick. Too thick to even pass as cartoony. But aside from that, it's great. I suggest next time using a wash to panel line instead of whatever it was you used this time. However, don't give up, as this is very promising,

Pretty good for your first custom! Although, yes, the panel lines are tad thick. Overall, a definite improvement over the original. I bought all the Kabaya beetles a while back, might try painting those! BTW, your sig is hilarious!

I consider the thick panel lines as having a weathered look! :D

As has been said, the panel lining's a little thick, but hey, that's something that comes to you with practice. If you thin the paint down and run it into the cracks with a fine brush, you should get some pretty nice results. If it happens to run over, just wait for it to dry a little and polish off the excess with a bit of tissue.

You've done a great job here. Your paint apps really make the figure pop. :)

First of all, welcome to Radicons! Thanks for sharing your work with us here!

I think you've made a neat mold just pop. The panel lines are a bit on the thick side, but the size of the mold can play into that some plus it's an easy fix if you wanted to go back to it.

I hope we see more from you :thumb
