I just finished my Quickswitch fake Kabaya model kit.
It's in scale with the WSTF and it's better than other models from the same line: better quality plastic, so better stability and just few paint ripping (and only when transforming).
I used Game Workshop acrylics and a cover with Model Master gloss clear acrylic.

I was not so fiel to G1 colors. My green is more military, and also added some detail in the face and painted the caterpillars. Also added some more detail based on the Quickswitch pictures on the G1 box.
There are no labels, except for my custom printed autobot symbol. Every detail is painted.

That's some impressive painting, how do you get the paint to stick? Those molds are notoriously paint resistant. Can they transform with out chiping? (never mind under loser inspection I see the still suffer the same problems)

Yes, usually they are a real pain!!
The worst is Sixshot in my opinion.

This one although seems better. Maybe luck.
However, I did a coat with skull white spray paint and let it dry.
Then I painted over. And then hand covered with gloss clear acrylic.
Just the paint on the joints seems to rip, not the other.
We have to say that Quickswitch is a simple transformer.

I wonder how dye would take to the plastic.
