For those who have him and have built him on a scale of 1 to 10 ( 1 being easy and 10 being you wanted to pull your hair out) how hard is he to build?

For me, i'd say about a 7. I found applying the stickers the hardest part. And when your building him, don't rush and make the same mistake as i did when fitting the ramps on. I ended up snapping off the little tiny white peg thing for the hinge. Now the ramp for Powerglide doesn't stay on.

These so-called model kits are pretty easy to assemble. No fuss at all, break it off the tree and snap them together, as per the instructions. No glue required.

To me, it's about a 3 or 4 of your scale.

I have a question too. Are the parts needed to build Fort Max blind boxed or can you tell what's inside just by looking at the packaging?

The package for each set is different so you can tell which part you're getting.

Depends on how old you are.

For me (I'm 34 with some experience in building model kits. I'm no expert though.) I'd rate the difficulty as 1 out of 10, seriously its a snap.

If you have the right tools to hand (ie scissors with small enough blades to clip the parts off the sprue, and toe nail clippers to remove any left over excess) then its easy. Don't twist parts off the sprue by hand though, that can damage the part .

The only thing is it takes a bit of time so set aside a couple of hours. Stickers can be fiddly, but they look kinda crap, and hopefully Reprolabels will sort us out.

Does it look as cheap as it looks in YouTube vids in-hand?

Compared to the bubblegum ones he's suitably god-like, but they were fairly dreadful to start with.

god no, don't break it off the tree. CUT it off, with nippers. It'll look like shit if you just break it off.

Fort Max is absurdly simple. I'd rank him a 2 on the difficulty scale, just above First Grade and Speed Grade Gundam models. and that's not even because of anything difficult going on in the actual build, it's mostly due to the damn stickers, and getting them on right. They're very poor quality stickers.

i give it a 1. Just make sure you take the above advice and cut the pieces off the tree, and have an Xacto or some other sharp precision blade handy to trim off excess.
