Who read it? Hilarious issue as usual. Super Mario Deadpool FTW. And the end was great with the Venom symbiote Dinosaurs. I'm going to miss this series so much.

Is deadpool getting canned again?

 

I heard issue 50 is the last of this run, but supposedly there is a new, more mature, Deadpool solo series starting up but I don't know how good it will be.

 

ooh. I look forward to that.

The newer deadpool stories bug me. too much comedy. I preferred when he was just a fuckup who was trying to do the right thing.

 

Yeah Reilly told me about it getting canned at 50 a while ago. But he said Wade was getting his own book. I doubt it'll be "more serious". Because then it's not Deadpool.

 

That's pretty much been the premise of the issues since Cable "died."

I'm not feeling so good about this Way/Dillion team.

I'm totally going to miss Nicieza writing Deadpool and I'm not looking forward to Dillon drawing Deadpool.

I'm just glad that it sounds like Way doesn't have plans for Agent X.

 

It was at first, but lately it's just been nuts.

 

I'm not fond of Dillon's art either.

 

Dillon's art + no Nicieza means this book has to bring 110% every issue for me to even think about buying it. I'm going to Miss Cable and Deadpool. 

 

This was a great issue. I've felt that the recent issues of this comic have lost a lot of the humor and charm that made it so great, but this issue had it back in spades. Best issue of this comic in months.

It's a pity they're giving Way the Deadpool relaunch. I haven't read any of his stuff, but from what I've heard his Wolverine books have been pretty mediocre. I don't really have much confidence in his ability to handle Deadpool.

 

Deadpool is one of the only reasons I even read Marvel any more. Exiles is the other. Thankfully, New Exiles seems to be pretty decent so far. I'm hoping the new DP series continues teh awesomeness too.

this Deadpool & Etc was a good read, at least its going in a good way.

 

Reilly Brown is hands down the best artist for Deadpool. There's no doubt in my mind.

 

I hope the next issue opens with Deadpool going "Man beating all those Dinosaurs was hard. Let's move on."

 

That would be perfect. No explanation, just that. Just like Cloverfield.

Anyway, I love the series and will be sad to see it go. Bob, The Penetrator, and Deadpool have been great together. The book has been so much better since Cable left However, I wish they would just make the book keep going at issue 51 or relaunch under a new title of Agency X.

 

I am personally feeling lamed about this. I made a dumb little fan flick of Deadpool and I got Jeremy Freeman and Reilly Brown (inker and penciller respectfully) to cameo in it. When they saw it, they loved it. It turned out better than what they thought I was going to do with it.

We kept in contact and became buds. And I basically had a little bit of a head's up as to what was going to happen in pretty much all the issues leading up to the canning of Cable & Deadpool (which was being planned back in April of 07). I knew about Wolverine, zombies, and Reilly writing the last two issues.

Now I'm going to be in the dark again. DAMMIT.

 

I know how you feel. I was in constant contact with Jimmy palmiotti when he was on Deadpool and alwasy got the heads up stuff. It was pretty fun. Then he was off the book and I had to actualyl wait.

 

If anyone wants to see a preview of what the new Way/Dillon Deadpool might be like, check out the most recent issue of Wolverine Origins that came out this week.

Not sure when it's supposed to take place since it doesn't quite stick to current Deadpool characterization, but it has some funny moments, especially at the end.
