Ben Affleck would have been a great choice. I could understand why they would want the Wachowskis to direct it because of The Matrix and possibly Cloud Atlas. But Brett Ratner is just pushing it. This guy already screwed up one superhero team movie and it is one of my least favorite superhero movies of all time. I would rather have Michael Bay direct instead of Brett Ratner (Bay wouldn't do it and I wouldn't want him to either, but he is better than Ratner by a long shot). They should ask Duncan Jones (director of Moon and Source Code). If they can't get Nolan, then this is pretty much their next best thing. I'm sure Peter Jackson will be free by the time it starts filming and they could maybe get him to do it. EDIT: After thinking about it for a little while I just realized how awesome it would be if they got Brad Bird to direct it. He directed The Incredibles which is another superhero team movie. He also directed Mission Impossible 4 and that had some sweet action and a good team dynamic in it. That makes him more than capable of pulling off a Justice League film. If he can't do that, I at least want to see him direct one of the solo movies.
Not so far as I know, but since they're basically the brains trust behind ever bit of the DCAU, and most of the DC Original Animated Movies, I'd be placing them very high up on the totem pole indeed. Think of them as a sort of creative quality control team.
only if it is justice league era them. and not modern bruce timm. lately his works have been really just, boring, lame, or just uninteresting.
What Would Be Your Reaction To Frank Miller’s Justice League? | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
My bro. I always find it interesting to see who tops the list when I Google "Who Should Play Batman Next?" and read the various articles. Some of them I find pretty strange. In particular, this article: People who should play Batman next. - Comic Vine "They have got to be between 6 ft. 1.5 inch. and 6ft. 3inch. to land a really good Bruce. Remember George Clooney's Batman? I mean he had a really good face description but the height? Come on! He's only 5' 10"!" Yes, because Batman as a character is entirely dependant on his height and that's why George Clooney was a lacklustre Batman. Yep. Totally. 6'1.5" is acceptable, but 5'10"? Really? I mean, they obviously didn't understand the values and inner workings of the character! Seriously, the entire article revolves around actor's heights and why that is, apparently, the be-all end-all of the casting process.
I think Miller's grossly overrated. Sure, The Dark Knight Returns and Batman: Year One were both incredible (I never read his Daredevil run), but that's about it. He also did Robocop 2 and The Dark Knight Strikes Again and those were awful. Keep him away from my Justice League.
Who starts the rumors that end up being all over the place? We should start rumors. I heard from a friend who heard it from his sister who's husband works at Mcdonalds who heard from a customer who read it in a paper that Hugh Jackman's gonna be Batman and Chris Hemsworth is gonna be Aquaman and Tom Hiddlestom is gonna be the Joker.
Oh shit yes! Oh shit NO! Seriously though, who would want, what I can only guess, would be the same League as we saw on the pages of All-Star Batman & Robin?
