Finally started watching this show. This might be one of my new favourite shows. It's basically everything I love about the DC comics, like a good blend of Batman: Brave and the Bold, Superfriends, Justice League and Teen Titans. The voice acting for the most part is great. Weakest link is Andy Richer's Chronos. He sounded too whiny to me. Otherwise Casting is some nice reprisals and or inspired new castings. Digging Superman and Wonder Woman's voices.
Probably the first and last time I'll ever see a kid dressed as Constantine. Pretty fun show! It's lighthearted, the action is cool and there's characters from all over the DCU. Firestorm is by far my favorite, his interactions with Stein are funny, and I love the League treating it as if he had some sort of imaginary friend. Plus, the ending to The Nuclear Family battle was really endearing.
The most recent episode featured Batman, Swamp Thing, and Zatanna, fighting Solomon Grundy and was more entertaining than that crappy Justice League Dark movie...
I'm really liking the show, but only just found out about it this weekend. I've watched all the shows available on-demand, but there are a lot of gaps. Be nice to see every show that's been aired so far.
I've caught a few episodes, and it's surprisingly not bad. I think it helps that it's only like 12-15 mins too.
I actually like this show. It's no Justice League Unlimited, but it's okay for what it is: basically animated shorts.
Pretty good episode this morning. Only thing I would change would be the voice of Chronos. Was a nice little tribute to Batman TAS. If Mattel makes some normal sized figures for this show I kinda hope they make a figure of Batman's first costume.
Chronos had a Awful Voice. He sounded like TFS Nappa, sad thing is though. He's voiced by Andy Ritcher. This is why I Rarely watch the Show, It got some Tongue In Cheek Castings which I was afraid it would follow the same trap Marvel has.
Fairly decent ep today, loved the time travel (it's everywhere these days) and older Bats helping younger Bats and especially the BTAS nod... NICE!
Yeah, enjoyed the BTAS inspired bits of music, along with rooftop/lightning-strike pose. Appreciated that they tried to go for the long-ear look, but the angles of the ears looked odd.
Didn't care for the ears and for the setting being so obviously Batman the Animated Series, I'd have liked to see the yellow circle on his chest.
Their based on his early appearances in Detective comics back in the 30's. He didn't get the Circle till the 60's
I'm aware. It's just that they paid homage to The Animated Series so much that they may as well have used that design. I suppose this being Batman's first case they went further back to his roots and threw in a bunch of BTAS references because Kevin Conroy and... just because.
I really wish that this show would feature Wonder Woman more. Wonder Woman seems to always get the shaft when it comes to DC animation. I mean heck she's got a live movie that's coming out. Put the spotlight on her a little bit.
Yeah, I thought it was odd they went with the long-ears of the '39 version, but didn't go for the short-gloves. So yeah, they probably should have just gone with a BTAS-esque design. JL:A doesn't seem to be in-continuity with the DCAU, so they could have used the yellow-oval, despite the BTAS flashbacks that show that early Batman didn't have it.
No kidding. Just went through season five of The Batman for the first time which included Justice League members minus Wonder Woman... As much as people might want to criticize the movie universe for omitting Martian Manhunter and any Green Lantern, I think leaving Wonder Woman out is an even bigger blasphemy. If Batgirl (you want to talk about the shaft) didn't pop up for the finale, it would've been seven dudes. To be fair, I wouldn't say Wonder Woman always gets the shaft. Her 2009 animated movie was okay. Had a few problems with it, but it was passable. And we always have Justice League where to me they handled her character pretty well. Not sure about Brave and the Bold, but it's not like she absolutely can't catch a break.
Really enjoyed the Toyman/Fighting Game episode. Seems like whoever worked in this one, had a lot of love for arcade fighters.
