I find myself quite liking this. It's not serious like JLA/JLU, but it's not way out there like Brave and the Bold was. Even the weakest episode (the video game one) had a lot of fun easter eggs in it. I suspect I may have seen them out of order, Power Surge was the first one I saw, the multipart at the Rock of Eternity was later. I also like the appearance of the WHIZ characters; Mr. Mind, Black Adam, Billy, and Shazam already. Though once again we got Billy and Captain Marvel as the same dude. I also think they did a pretty good job on Supermans outfit; I like that belt to really balance it all out.
Cartoon network aired a 3 parter (which since they are only 11 minutes a piece was only 45 minutes) The rest have been airing in Europe or Canada, and have ended up on streaming sites and youtube.
Actually it was a 4-parter, so an hour worth of television (44 minutes if you subtract comercials). It's going to be starting up in it's regular time-slot of 7:30am Saturday mornings on the 24th.
Finally got around to watching this show. It was okay, but a bit too kiddie-looking for me in regard to the animation. I'll still continue to watch it, though. I was disappointed that Hal Jordan showed up at the end and didn't get to do any ring-slinging.
It was moderately enjoyable, but I'm not sure I'll be continuing it. Too fan-servicey. Too gag-oriented. Not a fan of the visual style. Would have forgiven the oversimplified line art if it had been leveraged for more fluid animation, but it's not. The animation is mostly choppy AF. Already has blatant continuity problems less than 4 episodes in. Might give it a few more episodes to improve.
I enjoyed what I have seen. Not great but good. I feel Young Justice level of animation just ruined any time of down grade. Not to say this animation is bad just basic. Having Kevin Conroy as Batman is what will keep my interest. I get its called Action but I feel this will make the show actually boring since it will just be a bunch of random right scenes. I hope there would be overlaping stories and arcs but doubtful. I will keep watching and see how it goes.
Saw this. Was excited about seeing this as I had high hopes for it. Kevin as the Bats again got me even more excited ... Not feeling it
That wouldn't aid me at all in liking JL:Action. Not that I dislike DBZ, but to me the bar was set with JL and JLU, to go below that just doesn't interest me. That and I am definitely not in the mood to have to watch 8 speedbump episodes to see this series' version of the Spirit Bomb kick off
Well... this morning's episode was... disapointing. I'm fine with them re-airing the premiere episodes, but when you have a half-hour block labeled as JLA, that should mean there will be two episodes of JLA... Not an episode of JLA followed up by an episode of TTG... Especially with another hour's worth of that crap on afterwards...
That would not do anything for the show, cause the only characters that would benefit from that would be Superman, Shazam and the like, I can't see Zatanna or John Constantine doing ora oras.
Meanwhile overseas they just dumped out another 7 episodes. The common thread....seems to be that Batman must appear at least once an episode. (Seriously Warners might have well called it Batman and friends) But this series also seems to have more of the magical characters than previous cartoons, at least so far.
I also noticed all of the magic-themed episodes have Batman in them, all of them feature Zatanna, and most of them are written by Paul Dini. Surely it's not a coincidence or anything.
Got caught up with the new episodes. Liking that Zatanna's getting featured more which is never a bad thing for me. Also cool to see Killer Frost show up. Firestorm hitting on her will go to funny places I can imagine. lol
I'm enjoying it so far. It's not some ground breaking great show, but I don't think it has to be. It's fun and they're exploring the DCU, so that's fine by me.
