I thought they sounded like characters from Pirates of the Caribbean!

    Roadbuster: Scottish
Leadfoot: English (east end London. sounds a bit like Ross Kemp to me)
Topspin: not 100 percent he speaks but if it's him, he's also English.

It amuses me greatly that even american stereotypes based on Nascar speak with British accents.

I just wish Leadfoot would have said "Bite my shiny metal ass" at least once.

I have a feeling that they were originally meant to have "Redneck" voices until Bay changed them after being harrassed about the "racial" stereotypes he gave to the Twins in ROTF.

I need to see it again, but it sounded to me like I heard Scottish, Irish, and Australian.

I heard Scottish and 2 different English accents. The UK Accents I believe are a nod to the Wreckers UK Comic Origins.

Roadbuster was British, and Leadfoot was Scottish. Had Topspin spoken (which he didn't; no VA listed in the credits), he most likely would have been Australian, according to the novel.

I was so happy they weren't Southern redneck.

I think my favorite thing about the Wreckers is that they're detained at NASA only because they're quote-unquote "Assholes". Thank God they didn't act out any redneck stereotypes (as far as I could tell). I have a feeling once Skids and Mudflap's return hit the Yahoo homepage, followed by a Bay-sized retraction, he decided to tone down anything that might be considered "racial humor".

I love that they went with the accents they did. Seeing the character designs I was afraid they were going to use some kind of southern sterotype and end up being the new Twins of Wheelie.

Reminded me of that weird Sparky from that weird live-action Speed Racer movie. Wreckers were cool though.

Well, Scotland and England are in the United Kingdom. "British" is generally understood to be the accent they use in England.

Hey, I'm speaking from the US, so I apologize. Around here we say "British", so I guess that's what I've grown up hearing.
