On it's flight path to it's home in LA, just saw it fly over on its way to Sacramento.

    Pretty cool sight to see.

Then after Sacto it will head over San Francisco and then head down to LAX.

Does anyone know when it'll be following the coast down toward Malibu? I know the PCH will be packed but I'm hoping to see it from Mugu Rock. It's just about to pass the golden gate bridge, so it'll be a little while.

I heard it's flying pretty low, like helicopter low. Is that correct?

Should be flying over Disneyland at about 11:30 am PST. I'm 10 miles away but if it's flying low then I doubt I can see it.

I saw it fly over just south of SF. So awesome! It even had a fighter jet escort. It's one of those bad ass awe inspiring moments. And it was flying pretty low. Not helicopter low, but low enough to see the shuttle.

I'm in the San Joaquine Valley, and it was pretty low.
Supposedly it's about 1500-1800 feet off the ground.

Not that I'm a great judge of that type of distance, but it seems a little higher than that.

    And yes- it was impressive.

It took off 20 minutes from my house.

Here's a fun fact about me, I watched part of that shuttle be built. It was when I was in 7th grade and I had the opportunity to visit space camp. They told us they were building a new shuttle called Endeavor and they brought us in to see its progress and what they were doing. It looked almost completely built desite them saying they had years to go. The whole fuelsalage and outer shell was already built and everything.

Just saw it fly by with 2 jet escorts. So sweet. It's much smaller than the jumbo jet it was piggy backing on.

    Sad day in history maybe.

Remember we are the only country in the world that had a manned, returnable spacecraft
