I just saw Stardust. Very fun movie. It seemed very much Princess Bride-ish. It was like being told a fairy tale, with some romance, evil, magic, etc., but was also not afraid to poke some fun at itself along the way. I think Michell Pfiefer, Robert Deniro, and Claire Danes did a great job, and the rest of the cast which I didn't really know also did pretty good. Deniro's character was great. Anyways, I recommend it for anyone looking for a fun fantasy adventure that thankfully does not involve children.
Overall score: 8.5 out of 10

I enjoy the book and I can't wait to watch this movie. Neil Gaiman FTW.

The previews and such didn't leave me really wanting to see it a whole lot but I'd probably check it out regardless

In all honesty, I felt the same way. Actually, I hardly knew anything about it. That's sometimes for the best, as I was surprised at how good it was.

Really doesn't seem to me the sort of film that could be easily sold in a 90 second trailer.

The day before i saw the movie, I said the trailer made me not want to see, but being a fan of Neil Gaiman, I went with my GF and my friend to see it. I was worth it. Split Lip, I can't agree with you there, if you enjoy fun, Fairytailish movies that aren't TOO serious, you should like this.

Agreed. I want American Gods, Neverwhere and Sandman movies! And, have Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright do Neverwhere!

I really want to see this movie when I can. Mirrormask was good, but not a spectacular film.

The trailer for this film made me detest this film as I had to endure it every time I saw Transformers. It's a really bad trailer to turn me off a film.

That might be part of it - it's attached to every friggin session of Transformers in Australia. It truly was an awful trailer. All the acting felt so... terrible. "Oh you're the star!" yeeeesh.

I haven't had time to see the movie, but I've got a signed copy of the book, and recently picked up the comic of it.
I can't wait to see it.
Also, there's a comic of Neverwhere (though they make everyone look wacky), and you can always just buy the original mini series on dvd.
