Alright, I don't usually post these kinda of questions/threads...but I was so excited seeing how I just purchased a loose (incomplete) Overlord for around $80 on eBay. From what I can tell, he's missing both Powermasters (maybe they are attached behind the flaps?), some of the smaller radar dishes, the grey "car", one ramp and the missiles for the gun. Other than that he looks great. Though it appears that there may be some slight yellowing to the upper portion of one of the arms and maybe to one side of the jet's nose area.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the seller to see what my total will be w/ shipping, but all in all does it look like I got at least a decent deal?

I sure hope the seller will take PayPal. If not, I'll have to do a bank transfer and I've never done that with a overseas seller before.

That said, now I'll be on the lookout for some parts to complete Overlord. So the search begins...

 

I don't think you could find him for less. And he doesn't have his PM partners. The flaps are flush with the chest. I think you got a good deal. If he does have his PM partners then you got a helluva good deal.

heck with how cheap it was, you shouldn't have any qualms about kitbashing it into "Decepticon Commander Flywheels"!

That rifle he's holding isnt his rifle: it's the Megatank's barrel. You also have the rocketpod for the Megatank as well, which is good. You need:

Center ramp
Grey car
Large rifle
Dual cannon
Radar dish
Radio antennae
Giga
Mega

I had to purchase a second Overlord at $80 just for the center ramp. I turned around and traded him for Slugslinger & Pointblank as well as what I paid. So yeah, you got a GREAT deal - but good luck on those parts!!

Nice deal! You've got a good piece there, and I wonder if the PMs aren't tucked in the compartments on the Mega child shield and the left leg.

 

Judging by the fact that the cockpit canopy is open, sitting at an angle, there may be a broken tab.

 

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It looks like I've already tracked down one of the PM engines (Giga) from a fellow board member if in fact I need them both...so I've made a little progress already.

Even with the pieces I'm missing he'll still look good on display in robot mode none the less. I still don't see how I could've gone wrong for basically $80 for this when I consistently see incomplete domestic TFs go for close to the same amount.

 

Yeah, he is great for display.

 

You really can't go wrong on that one. Overlord doesn't even need the Powermasters to function correctly - the buttons are raised enough that you can push them in with your finger and activate them that way.

Just watch the Gigatank though, that's the only one which isn't a straight "push in button things happen" slot, the buttons need to stay pressed to separate the tank halves.

 

Auction came out to be $124 shipped and I picked up Giga for $21 shipped. Even though I'm still missing a few pieces, I still feel like it's Christmas morning!

 

i felt like that when i found my Gaihawk for $11 cdn shipped.

you really did a great job on the price. he isn't a bot that i've ever wanted, and turned down a few offers, but at that price i may have considered it last year.
