We started, in earnest, to potty train my toddler son (2 years 8 months old) on Saturday and today he pooped in the toilet for the first time ever. He in fact did it twice. Then while I was discussing the matter with my wife, he went out and pooped on the lawn. But hey, two out of three ain't bad!

Two more times in the toilet and Optimus Prime (G1 reissue) is all his. Finally a playmate for Soundwave (G1 reissue).

He's so excited about the pooping and Prime! I'm so excited about not having to buy diapers* every month for one of my kids!

I have some other potty training misadventures, but perhaps I'll save those for a bit later. Anyone else have some stories?

*Actually I'm paying for a diaper service.

I've asked my wife that question a number of times and perhaps surprisingly I don't get any rewards either. :(

YAY! I finally get to use this....

    :poop  :thumb

    Way to go little driplett!!!!

Oops forgot the story. My daughter took a long time to train. When she finally pooped in the toilet she "wrote" a letter to Sleepy Beauty with my wife to let her know all about it.

A few weeks ago my son who is 19 months old, attempted to pee in the toilet. He is not tall enough or ready so needless to say he pissed all over the place. But at least he tried.

He also took a dump on our living floor once.

    I love that kid.

    Congrats Drippy

That's awesome news. I have a 2.5 yo that we are working with as well. He started training a few months ago. He is getting really good at the pee pee into the potty thing, but no poopy. Two weeks ago he came to my wife and said "fishies in the potty". My wife, very confused thinking my son put gold fish crackers in the potty, went to find that he had poopied in the potty. WOOHOO! We were so excited. We got him some transformers underwear and the transforming Optimus and Bumblebee plush toys at Toys R Us.

Tip of the day# Don't let the neighborhood dog potty train your kids. :p

As for stories, had a 29 month old runt ask about a hole in the parking lot,I told him it was apot hole.
Well I guess he took that to mean you can potty there cause I turn around and he's going at it,with people coming out fo the store watching.

And back when said runt was 16 months old,his grandparents took him with them to a supermarket.
At somepoint he ruined his diaper and after his grandmother changing him,she handed the dirty diaper to my father who rather then ask a store employe about dispossing of it,he stuffs it up under a divider in on one of the isles.

Went to the store a week later and I knew real quick, they haven't found the diaper yet.Gf's face was the reddest I'd ever seen.

Heh, I was going to suggest Pottyfest 2007 for the inevitable scrapbook page my wife will do of this event but I like Pooping For Prime 2007 much better! I'll throw that out there and see what kind of reception it gets. :)

Yeah, he's had Soundwave for a few months and is a pro at the transformation. My wife and I promised him Prime, which we've described as a big boy toy, if he could be a big boy and poop in the toilet four times.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes.

If I get a chance later, I'll post some of the other misadventures we've had the last few days.

Scary eh? My daughter turned 1 yesterday.

My wife didn't think the lawn pooping was funny.

Congrats! Though G1 Toys for pooping is better than my parents did for me back in the day.

Wait a minute... Are you saying that at some point I should've learned to use the pot and stopped going in my diapers?
