For those that like AFA graded pieces, check out what I got on my Transmetal Optimus Primal and Megatron! Primal is an 85, and Megs came in at a whopping 90. I was fortunate to come across some dead stock cases!

I have a couple more sets just like these if anyone is interested (use PM). This post is not for selling, but for sharing pics of some AFA goodness :)

Why? Even if you sell them, they can't be opened, so you have doomed them to spend eternity in box, trapped forever and ever and ever.

Let's please not have the "AFA discussion" again. Every thread about AFA pieces always turns into a "OMG, AFA is teh evilzz" bunch of crap. For those that dislike AFA, just move on. Nothing to see here.

Not trying to start anything.... but I really don't understand the point of the AFA.

But... congrats on getting high grades on them I guess >_>

Yup...so they stay that way. Some people refuse to acknowledge that toys can be investment pieces, the same as old money, comic books, sports cards, etc. I view certain toys as investment grade. I would put these in that category. The children of Beast Wars are just now coming into some money, much the same as the older G1 crowd did in the late 90's. Prices will be driven up. I want these to remain in their pristine condition, thus the sending off to AFA. I may send in the other two sets now that I know what to expect.

My best estimate is $150 on Primal, and $200+ on Megatron. It is the highest graded Transmetal Megatron in existence (the other three graded Megs are all 85).

I'm also the proud owner of the highest graded rock-bubble Dinobot on Earth. It is an 85, and it is the only 85. I love my AFA Beast Wars :)

Is there much demand for BW these days? Substantially over original retail prices I mean?

It's not bad, considering the value it adds.

Does it work for BW though? I'd have thought that might suffer the problem of too many MISB collectors buying stuff up when it was first released.
