Just got my first office (with pic).

    Hey guys,

    super excited. Started a new job yesterday (I work in Govt) and I got my first office. Like an office with an actual door! I know I sound overly excited, but this is a big deal to me (one of my goals when I got my degree was to "have an office"). My wife asked "doesn't government have an open door policy", to which I replied "yes, but having a door is symbolic" lol. I hate cubicles.

    Anyway, I got a window office on the 17th floor. Excellent view IMO. Here is a pic I snapped with my blackberry. Also, if you have a view from your desk/office, feel free to share.

    i have a view from my office as well..but i dont have any doors/chairs or windows...its noisy as all hell and these wierd things fly over my head every so often..occasionally my office changes when i get a deployment notice from my uncle and he sends me 9000 miles away to set up yet another office in some foriegn country..point being...UR OFFICE ROCKS!!!!..i can tell ur excited and good for u, u fulfilled one of ur dreams..

    I don't any more. I HAD one in downtown Indy (worked for IU), but when I relocated, now I have a double size cube (but better pay...).

    And congrats! Offices are cool! :)

    Actually, a whats outside your window thread could be kinda cool (i myself work on the 15th floor of a building downtown). Cooler than a 'u guise wanna hear abt me?!!' thread at least.

    I can see a few trees from my desk. It's an improvement over my previous location which was underground and had no windows.
