Lumines is by far my favorite psp title, though ridge racer is also kind of fun.

Guilty gear accent core is also quite fun

Got FF7 and FF Tactics today.

Played a bit of God of War earlier, that's pretty good. Resistance is nice too, although the controls are fiddly as fuck.

Cheers for all the recommendations gents :D

Let me suggest something for Resistance Controls. You know how PC FPS have you use W,A,S,D to move your character and the mouse to point. Most FPS on the PSP offer the option to use Triangle, Square, Circle and X to control the character in the same fashion and then use the analog to look around and aim. Try these. I don't like using the face buttons to aim. Even if you are given aiming assist, it feels weird pressing buttons to aim, so give this other method a shot. It might feel more natural.

Resistance is friggen awsome! There is also the Syphon Filter games where have somewhat similar controls, its made by the same creators as the PSP Resistance.

I'd also recommend Ace Combat X: Skies of Decption. It's portable air combat, it rocks!

I also got really addicted to SOCOM:Tactical Strike. This is more of a strategy game than an action game, the best game I can compare it to is Full Spectrum Warrior. The game is mighty difficult though.

Also on the PSP is Final Fantasy Tactics, its the same as the orignal Playstation one, but with really nice cutscenes and two new classes. This game is the only Final Fantasy game that I have ever finished.

I cant think of any else but if ya get Resistance, we could play it online! :D

Lumines 1, Loco Roco 1 and Crisis Core. The only games I adore out of my PSP collection and can't recommend enough.

Definitely. Great game. Also this is an extremely small nitch, but if you are old enough to remember and enjoy the old school Dungeons and Dragons PC games, then the PSP D&D game is really awesome.

LocoRoco 2 is a much better game compared to the original. Go for Katamari on PSP, Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament is fun, so is Hammerin' Hero (spiritual successor to Hammerin' Harry), and you can't have a PSP thread without Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

But Resistance: Retribution isn't an FPS.

Dude seriously. I am talking about a control scheme that both genre (FPS and TPS) share in common. One stick controls movement and the other controls aiming. I own Retribution and the scheme suggestion would apply to both game type. Putting a character in front of the screen (in most games) is what separates those genre's and it's not much of a difference unless you add the mechanics of Uncharted or Gears of War.

If you liked FF7 Crisis Core is fucking awesome. Can't say what someone who cares not for FF7 would say though. Seeing Sephiroth as a good guy and learning how Aeris got her little bow, and how she became friends with Zak is the coolest prequel Material this side of Star Wars.

The Force Unleashed is pretty good, will keep you busy. You could download FFVII from the store, I think it's like $20. Also Dissidia: Final Fantasy is coming out, but it'll be a while before it does. If you're a fan of WarioWare games then you'll probably like WTF!: Work Time Fun, it's pretty fun when you're bored as hell. Good game huntin'!
