Not sure if this is news or not, but if it is, then hooray! I just found a whole endcap of the Classics: Prime vs. Megs: Battle in a Box 2-packs with 2 bonus Minicons (the Giant Planet ones) at one of my local WM in San Jose, CA. If a pic is needed, I'll take one, but it'll have to be later tonight. To be honest, I had totally forgotten that these were suppose to come out, but I'm glad they did, 'cause I loves me some Minicons! Happy hunting!

Update: Guess it was news! Woo-hoo, front-paged! Here are the pics, finally, it's been a busy day. I also found more of 'em the same night over in Fairfield, CA.

Huh. Two sub-par figs with the added bonus two even more sub-par itty bitty figs...still not biting. I just don't care for that Prime/Megs set or any of the minicons that have come out in the past couple years.

 

Seems early in the release to be offering an incentive. Must not be selling as well as they hoped.

 

Nuts. That's what I get for buying immediately.

 

this was actually planned a while ago though. a dealer sample showed up on ebay before the regular release even hit retail

I kinda feel that way, since I wanted the Giant mini-cons and never bought them, and this would've been an easy bonus. But I cant help that my birthday was in the middle of January. Ah well, there's always other ways to get the mini-cons (I'd personally prefer the Club Repaints)

Yeah, I saw them yesterday at Wal*Mart but didn't think that it was new. But seems like it is.

I've been bugging guys from springfield in the missouri sightings forum for the last coupla days to take freakin' pictures. ah well, finally someone has at least!

 

Actually, I saw two different Mini-Con sets with this 2-pack. One had Deep Dive and Longarm, and the other had Deep Dive and Overcast.

Also of note, these sets were stocked in the clearance section. However, since they rang up just under $20, I suspect they were placed there by mistake.

Haven't seen yet, but I'd bet on the standard box with a little clear box of two minicons taped to the top, like many other similar promos.
